Scaper
You're right they are much cheaper. I got this one for 16 dollars. Still not cheap but if you look in Europe for those buildings they are outragiously expensive. OH I missed one. I'm also waiting for this old beat up building I bought off ebay. It's going to be a downtown firedepartment building. It's going to need some TLC but I like the design of it. It looks old and beat up. It'll be a fun building to play with! :D Link to comment
Bernard
Okay I'm going to go off topic sorry. The Model Power plant is about 1 hour away from me. A lot of their model buildings are or used to be Pola kits re-boxed. They were also the USA distributor of Minitrix. At one point they had a supplier that made their HO train, located in what was then Yugoslavia. You knew it wasn't going to last (both the country and the manufacture) because they were getting shipments with bullet holes on the sides of the cartons. Link to comment

KenS
The Kato re-stock at HS did me in: my last order (a relatively small one) hasn't even arrived yet, and I've ordered two trains I'd wanted for some time: the Super View Odoriko and the Joban E531 (all 15 cars). That's it, no more shopping for me for a while... Link to comment
Scaper
Ken I hope your trains arrive with no bullet holes. I have had people from the states tell me they won't buy things from Canada, cause every thing they've ever ordered smells like bacon when it arrives! hahahahhaahaa. Link to comment

keiman
Having the full size Kato Super Veiw Odoriko(6 car set) with light blue top halves have just ordered the 8 car Bandai Odoriki set - be interesting if I have the Kato on the Unitrack next to the Bandai on Tomix track in the same station. Hobby Search have a lot to answer to. Just got to sort out baseboard now, loft done and looking at the bedroom alcove. Will have to move the Flatscreen TV to keep the other half happy. Anyone know where I could get a panoramic backdrop about 300mm high by 1.5m with Mount Fuji on it . Link to comment

ToniBabelony
I don't feel like returning to my room in Germany, but I have some interesting package waiting at the customs in Bonn... Time to go back and pick it up! (after a 3 hour trip by ICE and Stadtbahn) Also, I have some Enoden waiting for me that a Japanese friend of mine bought from Popondetta a few weeks ago. I don't know what types he picked for me, so it'll be a surprise! I asked for special liveries, so hopefully he got some interesting ones. I'll post pictures when I have 'em all! Link to comment

scott
Well, happy tax refund + cheaper-than-expected-car-repairs-day to me! I just saw that Kato is releasing a two-car Oito Line E127--HW has it on pre-order for Y5500. Deadline for pre-order is 4/15 if you're interested. I would have preferred the Niigata livery, but the Oito line seems very cool, from what I've seen. Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
It seems I had been waiting for Modemo's Tokyo Toden Type 7000 new body type "normal paint version 2009". Can't really remember (pre-)ordering it, but it arrived today. Looks like quite the nice little fella though ;) Link to comment

Kato's probably going to release all the other versions as well, as there are many colour variations on this model. Ranging from the E127 Series, 701 Series and the Ginga Tetsudou models. E127 Series: http://www.uraken.net/rail/alltrain/uratetsu127.html 701 Series: http://www.uraken.net/rail/alltrain/uratetsu701.html Aoimori RR: http://www.uraken.net/rail/chiho/aoi.html IGR Ginga RR: http://www.uraken.net/rail/chiho/igr.html (one of the strangest railway company names I've ever seen O_o) I've gone quite some distances with the 701 Series in Japan, so whenever a release from Kato is done, I'll probably buy one. Especially when it's a 701-5500 Series in normal gauge version for the Fukuoka - Yamagata - Shinjyou service! Link to comment

Have you heard anything definite about this? Ah, no it was more of a guess, but I predict this is very likely to happen as Kato also produces the Akita and Yamagata versions of the E3 Shinkansen series. A local train for these mini-shinkansen lines would be a logical choice to me. MicroAce did the same thing with their release on the 701 Series; release as much possible versions of this train type.
