I wonder if Bandai has ever considered doing overseas trains.

I would pay big dollars for a Shorty 3801 and some of my local Cityrail trains. Plus I have a liking for British DMUs.

I would also really like to see some overseas trains being produced. Yes some British DMUs, EMUs, maybe a Class 55 Deltic.

Wouldn't a TGV PSE in orange livery look amazing! And a Fench Class 7200.

My mind is running wild  :grin

Finally found a picture of the anime:

It looks quite ridiculous though, with those extremely large sized transformators.

Hobby search also has some close-up pictures of the model up.

And I have a question: what couplers do B-Train Shorty's use? I have seen magnet couplers, (dummy?) knuckle couplers and Arnold couplers so far.

There are four couplers provided in the Shorty boxes.

You have the large magnetic couplers. (bottom photo) In the top photo, you have a more prototypical coupler, (middle coupler with the nib on one end) a long C type coupler, (the one on the right) and a shorter C type coupler. (the one on the left)

A bit late continuation of my coupler question: on HS the picture of the Shiki880 features an Arnold coupler, is this new to B-Train Shorty's? It seems to have an ordinary N gauge coupler system with springs. I don't know if you guys know about this, but if indeed it has an Arnold coupler I would have more reason to get it.

Densha, the "upgrade" trucks for B-Trains include proper Rapido/Arnold couplers, so you are in luck!

The Next Station Is...

The standard trucks that come with the models are plastic and aren't suitable for anything other than static display, the upgrade trucks allow you to run the wagon. I suspect that the Shiki 880 won't be any different and that upgrade trucks will be required, the Hobby Search listing doesn't indicate either way... Guess I'll be finding out as I've got three of these ordered!

Upgrade trucks are just standard Kato or Bandai B-Train shorty trucks.  I've never seen any special trucks for a particular model.

Been a while since any posts here. I was bored earlier, and decided I'd capture my entire collection. Until now I've only really taken photos of a few at a time.

As you can see, I started numbering them. I also took just 2 random ones.
