Keikyu
My 2 DD51s came in the mail today. They're adorable little buggers. Link to comment

Keikyu
I wonder if Bandai has ever considered doing overseas trains. I would pay big dollars for a Shorty 3801 and some of my local Cityrail trains. Plus I have a liking for British DMUs. 1 Link to comment
dabsan
I would also really like to see some overseas trains being produced. Yes some British DMUs, EMUs, maybe a Class 55 Deltic. Wouldn't a TGV PSE in orange livery look amazing! And a Fench Class 7200. My mind is running wild 1 Link to comment
tantousha
Just placed a reservation for a re-release of the 700 series Hikari Rail Star. They're also doing a re-release of the Twilight Express. There goes more of my pay cheque... Rail Star: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10082550 Twilight Express: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10065615 DISCUSS!! Link to comment

Densha
Finally found a picture of the anime: http://tsugi-no-eki-wa-desu.tumblr.com/post/34909850977/evangelion-x-btrainshorty It looks quite ridiculous though, with those extremely large sized transformators. Hobby search also has some close-up pictures of the model up. And I have a question: what couplers do B-Train Shorty's use? I have seen magnet couplers, (dummy?) knuckle couplers and Arnold couplers so far. Link to comment
gmat
There are four couplers provided in the Shorty boxes. You have the large magnetic couplers. (bottom photo) In the top photo, you have a more prototypical coupler, (middle coupler with the nib on one end) a long C type coupler, (the one on the right) and a shorter C type coupler. (the one on the left) Best wishes, Grant 1 Link to comment
Keikyu
I found this auction http://www.bidjdm.com/bidding/auction/view/id/165942647/category/7383/ Who exactly makes those trains? Its interesting to see British B-Trains but I cant see any reference to who makes it apart from them being made in China. Incase it ends, these are the pictures: Link to comment
Davo Dentetsu
Very good spot. Although, 170 Turbostars look almost finescale with those dimensions... :D Link to comment
Keikyu
More trains came today. Link to comment
Densha
A bit late continuation of my coupler question: on HS the picture of the Shiki880 features an Arnold coupler, is this new to B-Train Shorty's? It seems to have an ordinary N gauge coupler system with springs. I don't know if you guys know about this, but if indeed it has an Arnold coupler I would have more reason to get it. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10204383b2/30/2 Link to comment

Densha
Could you explain me what an "upgrade truck" is? Link to comment
gmat
Trucks made by Bandai for n-gauge operation to upgrade/replace the toy-like ones in the B-trains. You can buy ones made by Kato, too. Look at the top one on this page. http://www.1999.co.jp/list/579/0/1 Best wishes, Grant 1 Link to comment
The Next Station Is...
The standard trucks that come with the models are plastic and aren't suitable for anything other than static display, the upgrade trucks allow you to run the wagon. I suspect that the Shiki 880 won't be any different and that upgrade trucks will be required, the Hobby Search listing doesn't indicate either way... Guess I'll be finding out as I've got three of these ordered! Link to comment

I've never seen any special trucks for a particular model. http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=104&scope=1&scope2=0&itkey=Shorty+trucks http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=104&scope=1&scope2=0&itkey=Shorty+power Link to comment

dabsan
Hi, here are a few pictures of B-Trains I've been building just lately. I wish Bandai would make some b-trains of the ikoma cable car vehicles. http://shibuya246.com/2009/06/12/ikoma-cable-car/ Does anyone know if models have been made of these unusual cable cars (in any scale) ? Keikyu
Been a while since any posts here. I was bored earlier, and decided I'd capture my entire collection. Until now I've only really taken photos of a few at a time. As you can see, I started numbering them. I also took just 2 random ones. 1 Link to comment
