katoftw
I was lucky enough to get a Family Mart in October 2014 from TamTam Akihabara. Link to comment
katoftw
I also hope the come with the older decal sheets. I'm pretty sure my Family Mart came with a decal sheet that didn't have any extra signage. If these come with extra signage, Then I can use them on highrise buildings in a city location. Link to comment
JR 500系
Yap... I would like the Family Mart store... Come to think of it, your idea sparked a good thought, buying the Lawson or 7-11 ones and printing out some Family Mart logos to stick on them ~~ Come to think of it, why don't they re-release the Family Mart one> ? katoftw
This is what the Family Mart decal sheet look like. No big brand banner like the 7-11 or Lawsons. I'm hoping the 7-11 and Lawsons still come with the big brand banners. For reasons explained in earlier posts. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/blog/1302282 Edited March 27, 2016 by katoftw 2 Link to comment

Das Steinkopf
Didn't think it would be long. The other two are selling like hotcakes. It is a fairly quick re release, I picked up one from AmiAmi in November and when you consider how long the cycles are for rolling stock you wouldn't expect to see it again until later on this year or early next year. katoftw
I guess if you start pumping out one type. It is easy enough to start pumping out another. The plastic is all the same. Just the paint and decals differ. Link to comment

kvp
They tend to gather around certain areas where lots of people pass by and in Japan this is typicially around railway stations. (which usually happen to be part of most layouts) Link to comment
railsquid
Though the kind of single-storey convenience store with attached car park sold by Tomix is unlikely to be found near stations in built-up areas, if at all as a semi-temporary use of a plot pending redevelopment. Mind you such is the density of convenience stores arounds stations I wouldn't be surprised if one day there will be convenience stores inside convenience stores and so on, until some kind of singularity is achieved. 1 Link to comment
cteno4
Squid the event horizon here at a 7-11 is reaching into the hot dog roller/heater if you grab the last dog there that is shriveled up from being there since the Big Bang... Once grabbed that's it, no return. Jeff Link to comment
miyakoji
Kinda interesting... Might get this just to see see... Yeah, very interesting, especially for people like me who are not good with this kind of stuff. A sufficiently simple model and some detailed instructions about how to build it might let me build something... nice :) Squid the event horizon here at a 7-11 is reaching into the hot dog roller/heater if you grab the last dog there that is shriveled up from being there since the Big Bang... Once grabbed that's it, no return. Jeff Jeff this is a truly upsetting concept, and now I can't get it out of my head that grabbing the last revolting hot dog at a convenience store could initiate the contraction of the universe back down to... nothing. :confused5: Link to comment

cteno4
much less variety at the us 7-11. no sealed/wrapped irradiated hot dogs, but its ok the ones in the hot dog machine are devoid of any microbe digestible material anyway... there are two dozen different flavors of beef stick though... not sure if rice ever makes it into a 7-11 here, corn yes! jeff Link to comment
westfalen
7-11's anywhere else in the world don't even come close to the Japanese ones, I'm not sure what they think when they come here and go to an Australian one. Link to comment
Das Steinkopf
Give me Family Mart any day, I much preferred them to Lawson and 7-11 when I was over there. 1 Link to comment

katoftw
I like these also. Classic Japanese lake scenery using these. Tomix also officially released the Super Green Shuttle Liner containers. They teased about these months ago. And I'll probably roll the dice on the Shimabara Railway bus.
