My dark blue DE10 (MicroAce) came in today. It's a REAL dark blue, almost black.. Looks real good.

Now I just need a layout to make it look even better  :grin

The set looks amazingly good! I am glad I didn't shell out for the (more expensive and much older) Tomix version (came very close on a few occasions!).

It's the 4yr anniversary of RapitBunny & I being a couple (not married yet) and I received an amazing gift!

Given the text, one would've expected something along the subject lines of

What did you order or the stork deliver?  :grin

But I guess that's not a bad alternative! Where'd you find that?

I think she pulled it off Yahoo Auctions JP - I have never seen this available, and she just says she has her sources.

Congratulations you guys. at least you know you are very compatible in trains!

perhaps RapitBunny should start up her own custom personal shopping business!

I hope you got her something good in the rr daughters line!

enjoy (both the dr yellow and RapitBunny)!

Congrats on the anniversary (to both of you) and the gift.

My own "what did you receive" isn't that cool.  I managed to break a coupler on my new Kato Ginza train; don't snap these upward like a typical Kato commuter or the coupler(s) will pop apart - pull them straight apart to uncouple. Fortunately HS has these in stock, part 14101C3.  Since I had to place the order anyway (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) I also bought a bunch of small Tomix details I was planning to add to my Urban Tram layout: catenary poles, mini platforms and a standard one-sided platform, plus another 4-light signal.

Maybe this will get me to work on adding some scenery to it (still bare track on gray-painted wood today).

I just received invoice from Rainbow Ten for this monthly shipping, Tomix N700-8000 R10 and N700-0 complete set (and some Kato locos) but this time I'm not so happy   , just a couple of month and I "lose" a big friend

Thanks to Mr.Nao and all the R10 staff !

I too just got an RainbowTen payment request, but for the Modemo Green Mover. dont think it will get here before the rockville show though and Philip will have is super detailed ttrak setup there (http://www.japanrailmodelers.org/photos/_ttrak-philip/index.html), so will just have to do with the old hodie version.

Thank you also Mr Naoto and for all the other orders in the past. R10 will be missed! they were such a champ on preorders for me and some special orders.

cheers

My postie was trying to be sneeky on yesterday and left me a pick-up note even though I was at home at the time. to pick up my parcel which has got the EF81 and the Twilight Express train from KATO. Just in time before going to Frankston for a model railway exhibition but I will not be running it on that weekend as I want to have it ready for the new year.

Mine doesn't seem all that exciting either, but it's essential stuff. I just got in a box from modeltrainstuff.com that has some Unitrack 381mm viaducts (to finish the newly extended outer loop), some 348mm viaducts (for finishing one end of the point-to-point line), some 4% WS inclines (which weren't available locally, but which I really need to make the longer-but-simpler outer loop work), and (good grief, I can't believe I did this) another bag of ballast. :-P

Once I get the track pieces in, I'm going to do a major layout cleanup and try to get some trains going.

I don't *what* I'm going to do with the stupid ballast.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to glue it to the track.  Or next to the track.  Or between the tracks.  Or something. :grin

Couldn't resist...itch, itch, itch...bought an HO scale Bachmann GE 45ton loco at my LHS. Also placed order for a couple of Atlas HO scale Nacionales de Mexico boxcars. All this stuff is towards the idea of a sugar-mill pike.

Cheers NB
