railsquid
The blue one is one of the Green Max 5 Story office buildings from this set here: http://www.greenmax.co.jp/image/image_catalog_view/gm46-6view.jpg Blue was not the recommended color scheme but I decided to be daring. It looks good, I've seen buildings with shades like that before. Anyway I hadn't really twigged on to Greenmax's buildings so will check those out. Also, I never knew Yodobashi sold model railroad stuff. I`ll have to check them out. The bigger stores generally have hobby sections including model railways. They also deliver free. And the prices are good too, especially for the standard stuff. Link to comment
JR 500系
HS dropped off 2 SAL parcels last Saturday, mainly hauls from the recent Bargains Sections. Sweet deals! Kinda love the Kato binder, looks really neat! 1 Link to comment

JR 500系
Oh my god more buses when will it stop?! The E6 and 223 series are pretty cool trains. Nope they'll never stop. It's like Pokémon, gonna catch them all! Still need to complete my All Japan series 1-20, missing the first few which I forgot to order... Also, lotsa limited edition bus companies bus sets are very hard to get too... The Toei 5-bus set is also on the way.... Yap the E6 is originally on the to buy list, so what better time to buy when they go on sale! The 223 was unexpected, but grabbed soonest it was on sale. It was actually WAY out of my region being a West train and all, but it looked too attractive to pass. And boy it really looked good! Link to comment
Irish Padre
Waiting for a Kato EF 15, a V3 switching set, loco shed, and a few wagons. Reinvesting the profits of selling some British outline N gauge..... Link to comment
macdon
Oh my god more buses when will it stop?! The E6 and 223 series are pretty cool trains. I think that the Tomytec bus designers in japan have Sammy's number on speed dial! :D I also would love to see all those buses in his layout! Mardon Link to comment
macdon
I got 2 boxes today........... First is from HS Second one is from MTP. Nariichi-san's packing is truly excellent! I'm sure anyone who have received a parcel from him can attest to that. It took me about half an hour just to release the goodies from their wrappings! Gotta get busy! Mardon 1 Link to comment

Mardon Thanks Mardon! I love these buses and their quality and hope to continue collecting all of them! HS Dropped off the last parcel via SAL from the recent bargain sales. Now I have a full E6! Happy! :) Link to comment

Martijn Meerts
Judging by the building instructions I just looked at on HS, you might not be far off :) Link to comment
chinbeard
A stack of scenic stuff, farm, houses, shops and level crossings (mostly Tomytec with some Greenmax) for a mini layout. Link to comment
railsquid
I was unable to resist this little fellow: A ヨ8000 brake van from Kato. Despite being all black it looks almost cute. Link to comment
railsquid
Blame my wife for this: she really wanted the house under construction (bottom left), which seems to be pretty much out of stock, fortunately I located a small store in Kanagawa which still had it, and added some other things in to reduce the per-item postage rate. (Now there's an idea for some - semi-literal - kit-bashing: a building being demolished, which is a very common scene in Japan). 1 Link to comment
lurkingknight
so much track! trains are like lego... the more legos you have... the more fun you have. :P Link to comment
miyakoji
I was thinking that too. How many meters of track do you have there? Link to comment
railsquid
Probably not as much as it looks, and will look even less when set up. I keep buying track and can never understand where it all goes. Link to comment
katoftw
I think my suitcase will look like that on the way home from japan. Larger items = killer shipping costs. Link to comment
katoftw
That makes 22 Koki 50000s and 107s combined. Edited October 8, 2014 by katoftw Link to comment
katoftw
Ordered/preordered my first JR East train - the D51-498 and Series 12 6 blue car set. 1 Link to comment
railsquid
This just in from Yodobashi Camera: Two more 90cm x 60cm baseboards (not 3 as the package implies; I guess Yodobashi were reusing the box they had). One of them was effectively free as I had some points left :) They're going into the back of the closet for now until I resolve the bookcase situation (I'll probably get some short ones on casters to store beneath the layout) but will turn my layout into an L-shape with 60% more space . westfalen
I think my suitcase will look like that on the way home from japan. Larger items = killer shipping costs. One trip a few years ago I had to go to a discount store in Akihabara and buy a cheap suitcase for about 2000 Yen to carry trains home in. Typically of Japanese stuff, that suitcase has outlasted more expensive ones I have bought back home. Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
I finally ordered something again :) One of these http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10284945, and a couple more Gundam kits.. It felt wrong just ordering 1 kit, and I've been eyeing those Gundam kits for a while already anyway ... Link to comment
macdon
IMG_1905.jpg A little bit of a brain fart moment there....... My cousin in Hawaii sends me 1-2 care packages a year and when he told me he'll start preparing it last April, I asked him to get me some stuff that normally cant shipped via SAL. The care package ("balikbayan" box) measures 24" x 18" x 18", which takes awhile to fill up so it took months and I completely forgot about those when I actively started re-doing my layout. While doing the layout, any tracks I need were just ordered from the usual places - so when this care package arrived, some stuff got doubled. V16 - 70 to 80% of the contents will be used for my commuter line V17 - if I still decide to make a subway line Carded viaducts - I will think of something yet :D Mardon Link to comment
