The Next Station Is...

A parcel from ModelTrainPlus arrived today - just a few bits, in the form of another Casco case, lots of DCC decoders (two EM13s and four FL12s), a KoKi 104 container flat wagon and Tetsudou Musume container.

i already have the complete sets and this is kinda unnecessary i guess :dontknow:

most it is junk which i got in the Ponpondetta, HobbyPochi and Yahoo Auctions

Actually they will look nice as a display! Are they authentic Tomix/ Kato models that light up?

I just ordered my first NEW Japanese train. The "Super Komatchi" 3 car set. I will probably add on the 4 car set later. I don't need it now as I don't have any track laid nor even any layout built.

Just needed that "New Train Fix".

Gerry

Congrats on your first train set Gerry!

Bad news is, it probably doesn't stop there. It has just began~~  :) Welcome to the poisoning world of hobby train!

Ding Ding!

Post man dropped off 2 small parcels today from Loco One~

2 of my FIRST models in this shipment, and getting started on the track plan with a Tomix basic canted track set and side walls for experimental purposes and getting a physical feel of things.

My FIRST Modemo model, the NP501 Odakyu 20000 Asagiri 7-car set, used from Yahoo. Sweet deal!

2nd is my FIRST GreenMax completed model, the Shibuya Hikarie 4-car basic set! I'm amazed at the detailing on this baby! I had a good laugh when I wondered why there was a decal with a man on it standing behind the wall. I thought it was for using on the platform or something to show a man standing behind the platform screen?

Then it turned out to be the decal to stick on the inner side of the front face of the train, as the operator! Haha!

That's even a back side for the other end! Cute ~

Now there's a load of stickers to paste....

Just ordered http://www.modeltrainplus.net/collections/rare-item/products/tomix-ts-203-open-hopper-type-hoki800-tech-station-original from MTP, my first order with Nartak.

Also have the Twilight Express, 3 Car Set, both add on's and a pair of the DD51's inbound from Keitaro at Loco1.

I now have more trains/carriages than I actually have current track - really need to find somewhere to live that I can build my proper layout in.

That is a good looking train.  I didn't realise the yellow has tall buildings designed into it.  Must resist temptation! haha

May I poison you further katoftw?

Here's a picture of the front with decal pasted (on the right) and not pasted (on the left). HUGE difference...

Now for the sides, the one on top is pasted with decals and parts installed the one below isn't... Looks much neater with decals on ~

Now some more pictures AFTER pasting decals, installing parts and interior lighting them!

Good bye!

I really like this train more and more!

Now to get the Tomix close couplers to close up the gaps, and the Greenmax lighting plate to light up the 3rd (trailer) car. Seems GreenMax left out the lighting plates below the interior plate and running along the carriage to receive current from the wheels for interior lighting...

Just won this little lot on Fleabay...

Perhaps I have rather too many minibuses now!

Good win there! That Sagawa truck is the jewel! That's hard to get!

Nope I don't think you can have too much minibuses ~  :)  I also have lotsa buses too. They're too beautiful to resist...

Oh damn, that Hikarie-Go looks crazy nice. It looks nice in the flash and it looks nice as model. I'll wait and see if Kato comes with their version of it.

I have ordered the new pantographs for my Odakyu 1000, the 4 car add on set for my E6, and a new Odakyu 7000 to match with my 1000.

All this from Nariichi.  Now the waiting begins.

I have been waiting since September 9th for my Unitram V50 Starter Set and since December 7th for the V51 Figure 8 Expansion Set.  Cant do much without the starter sets.  This is from an American supplier.

My traction tyres are currently riding around in some lazy bumnut's postal van.  Didn't check to see if anyone was home again?  Grrrrr.

Saikyo Line E233, Hachiko Line 205 and ED79 now here, so well pleased. Container train consisting of EF210 and Koki 100/101 wagon set plus assorted containers probably next, followed by DE10. After that, EF64-1000 and Hamanasu coach set. Shopping Galore!

Oh dear, looks like I picked up crabs at the weekend.

And a teensy Modemo Enoden tram.

And while I was at it, a Kato 185 express from a store's "junk" box, which is in perfect working order but I could only find one trailer so it's not quite complete:

I always liked that livery, but haven't seen it around for a while.

Arrived yesterday TOMIX SL Banetsu Monogatari Observation Train set (with C57-180)

Awesome.  Can you take some pics sometime please?

I'm rather envious of everyone posting in this thread recently.  I've put a hold on purchasing for a while as went a little crazy the second half of 2014.  I may spring for a Kato DD51-800 or -842 Imperial on Yahoo JP.  But that is all.  HAve alot of 8 car shinkansen pre-orders coming over then next few months also.

HHhmmm let me guess, 8-car shinkansen pre-orders.... 500 series Kansengar, 700-7000 Railstar, Kato E3-700 Toreiyu Tsubasa, Tomix E4 Max new colour...

Right?  :)

Yeah, they were hard to resist. I think my wife will love it.

Meanwhile, preparations for winter underway.

The DD13DD16 itself I bought a while back, and happened upon the snow ploughs for a very reasonable 2,000 yen the other week in Hobbyland Pochi's junk corner (albeit boxed and in excellent condition) and it would have been rude to leave them there. The DD13DD16 is a powerful little loco but runs somewhat jerkily; application of some oil seems to have helped.
