ToniBabelony
Anything Odakyu would have be a 5000系, assuming there's a model. MicroAce is your friend in need indeed: http://homepage2.nifty.com/peeta/odakyu.html Disappointing though it is, the 5000 never went on the Chiyoda line (too wide body probably). railsquid
Odakyus in Chiyoda subway line? Err, yes. Even a couple of Romance-car type workings. Link to comment

railsquid
The MA DD16 is a tough little loco. My example - light blue - runs a little roughly (it doesn't get much action on Kanjiyama for that reason) but is powerful...it happily tackled a rake of 19 Kato tankers on our old layout, which included a 1/40 gradient with a reverse curve. I've given it a bit more running in around my loop, including a few rounds at max speed in both directions/orientations, and it has improved even further. Link to comment
Guest keio6000
In an ideal world it'd be a JNR version, but at that price it would have been a crime to let it sit there. I really need an Eidan 6000 series to go with it now... exactly the same circumsances i got mine for. JPY 4000 for a set - couldn't say no. sadly i have pretty much all the odakyu/chiyoda models mentioned here except for the 06. had it but sold it. it's a really weird one-off, and a generic looking one at that. hmm.. and i guess no 207. oh well. what we really need is an odakyu 1000. really amazed MA hasnt released that yet. by the way, if somebody doesn't have an odakyu 8000 by microace, i'd say "go for it." lovely model. microace locos: i stay away from these. except for a high-end SL or two, i see no advantage to getting involved with microace ELs. JR 500系
BIG order coming in soon! I can't wait! And it's IN! There're two orders actually, one is a small and fast one from Mandarake online. First time trying this out and is really glad the Tomix 583 series Spur and Resort Express is in stock! Tried ordering previously but was always receiving: "Sorry your item is out of stock'... I really like the 583, especially in this colour! I always wanted the Kitaguni, but it was too expensive, and also too long. This 6-car equivalent is just nice! Now I wonder if the 583 series head mark can be attached... Grabbed a Kiha-48 Kitaro at the same time. Never miss a painted train, especially one that is going for a nice price! Will be sure to check out Mandarake more often for deals! *Love the Mandarake box and Logo~ * A larger order is posting below.... Edited December 19, 2014 by JR500 のぞみ 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
The second box is what that is keeping me so excited for around 1month +... The order from Doug's sales is IN! Nice additions to my roster now ~ Thank you Doug! It's a really nice deal and all train sets are in almost new condition, with decals un-used! Now I need to find ways to pay off that credit card bill..... X_X 1 Link to comment
Davo Dentetsu
Continuing that theme, my final part arrived too. Sakura/Hayabusa and Suisei/Akatsuki sets. Wunderbar! Although my mad panic meant I didn't have time to have a go of the Akatsuki set until tomorrow's play time. 1 Link to comment

Davo Dentetsu
JR500 and Azumanga, what a great looking bunch of trains! Thank you, got to say they have been looked after very well and take pride of the fleet. :) I have pictures of the Suisei/Akatsuki now, but... I couldn't run it! My older EF66 decided to blow out a traction tyre with so much intensity it caused multiple injuries amongst our club members (OK, possibly a tad embellished). Anyway, it only had one left so couldn't get up the incline. Oh well, but plenty time to take pictures. PS: If anyone has the specific part number or sizes of tyres to use on a typical Tomix EF66, I would be very happy to know. Will possibly need to stock up on them. JR 500系
I'm jalous of you about the sunrise express :-) Thanks! Once I saw it on the list I had to get it. The sunrise express is sold out and when a chance to buy present itself I just had to get it! You could try contacting Doug again to see if he has the other 285-0 Sunrise Express (JR West version) for sale, as I only took the 285-3000 (JR Central version) Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
I saw this train on Youtube a couple of months ago. It is cool...therefore had to be ordered! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10305245b/30/1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Collected another parcel today, this time from MTP: It's a SSHHHIIII day today. It's all about the SHI SHI stands for SHImakaze! SHI stands for SHIrasagi! Yah! And a couple of corner buildings from Tomytec pre-ordered, for the junctions, sound box for more fun operation, some couplers to close those hideous gaps and a platform to extend my platform further to 9 cars. Merry Christmas! 2 Link to comment
