kvp
When i arrived home, i found a box at my door from hobby search (on the outside) with the two snow miku tram kits i ordered. The usual postman must be on vacation, since i specifically requested that packages must not be left on the doormat. Luckly the box was so battered and crushed that nobody bothered to steal it and also no import tax, so it came through as a normal package. The kits are pretty nice and arrived in one piece, thanks to the 8 times bigger box and lots of filling paper. Link to comment

katoftw
Preordered Kato E7 yet is arriving this week. Anyone receive their Kato E7 yet? Does it have the nose coupler(s)? Only been 8 days since Kato released them. Then they gotta get to your retailer of purchase. Then they gotta package them up and send them to you. Whom did you purchase from? Link to comment
Guest Closed Account 1
I pre-ordered them from Loco1Hobby, of course. :) Link to comment

JR 500系
Small parcel collected yesterday from the post. Origin from HS. Just some small items that were n bargain section in HS during the sale. The TCS 5-colours light signal was really cheap, but only limited to 1 piece per person... The GeoMatrix roll signs were interesting, but they were very difficult to install as they come off really easy... Thought I could install them on my E-series for that additional detail... Going to try out the curtain parts on my 500 series ~ Link to comment
katoftw
Wow those window curtains are an excellent idea. Adds some uniqueness to your rolling stock. Link to comment

Densha
All in purple? Won't they have all the same car numbers? Or maybe you don't care about that. Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
I have just ordered a very interesting looking unit. A KiHa110 Tokohu Emotion 3-car set from Kato. The unit is white with a sort of brick design picked out in black. It looks really smart and is due in September. Link to comment

I was expecting some gold. But not every piece in gold. the lower floor and the ground are all paint gold also. Will require some more painting to get it to look like the real deal. Ken Ford
All in purple? Won't they have all the same car numbers? Or maybe you don't care about that. All in purple - but they come with number transfers for all the cars in the series. No numbers are printed on them. Link to comment

JR 500系
Collected yet another small parcel, again from the recent HS bargains snatches. This time, I was very lucky to be able to secure the Tomix 92502 E5 Hayabusa 6-car add-on set at 35% off retail price. It was on my wish list anyway so lucky me went ahead and ordered. Added a few small items. Couldn't get more of the power couplers to change my Tomix to power couplers as they were out of stock. GeoMatrix roll signs this time were for the N700, that had the Nozomi, Hikari, Kodama and test services printed on with various destinations. This time, it is a decal instead of the previous 'press on' type, so should be easier to apply. Need a really sharp knife though to cut them up. Link to comment
Ken Ford
is it just the trailers, or both the motor and trailer units that have the transfers? All of the purple 621s have the transfers (NT124 and NT125.) I have one green and cream 621 (NT94), it has transfers too - the transfer sheet also shows the NT95 trailer as having them too. I like how Modemo did it this way, you can build up a fleet without number duplication. I suspect the green and cream 101s are the same, but can't confirm since I don't own any. The ones I have that are numbered without transfers are the obvious one - the Enoden paint 631 and the purple 101-104 pair (NT141 and NT142.) These little trams are almost jewel-like in their quality - I'm vastly impressed with them and am enjoying this project immensely! 1 Link to comment
ToniBabelony
The JNMA has been good. The haul of yesterday: - A 2nd MicroAce Hokusō Kaihatsu 7000 type to be used as a base for the Chiba New Town 2000/9000 type kit I have lying around; - Hankyū Minden Greenmax motor unit for my 2nd Keisei 3500 type project; - Two Torein magazines with detailed articles about Keisei trains (3200 and 3500 type); - Order for Keisei Akaden-obi at a small firm called Treasure Town: http://www13.plala.or.jp/t-t_inmt/list.html Link to comment

Also, I expect layout pics of the JNMA! ;) Ah, I see I never announced it in this thread, but yeah, I have two A-2172s. One will be kept original and the other one will be harvested for parts (chassis and motor) for this baby: I'm not sure what to do with the remaining body. Maybe I'll sell it, keep it as a spare or maybe even repaint it into a fictional livery. Who knows xD And pics will follow soon in the JNMA 2014 topic! Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
Went shopping the other day. I already have the E2, so now a Kato E7 is joining the Dreyfus stud... :) Link to comment
