yes re-release.

it`s sold out with most suppliers.

though i`m surprised to see it as tomix will be out not long after and stores still have stock left.

It didn`t sell as quick as the E5

Indeed it is! Good news for me as i dont have the initial N700! It's very much similar to the N700 on looks though, except for the giant blue A.

Anyhow, contempting whether to buy this, but it's out on pre-order at one of my favourite sellers!

Came across this video that explains the differences between N700 and N700A:

Could get the gist of it but couldn't get all the details using my limited japanese... It seems the N700A also breaks faster, and there is a auto cruise mode that allows the speed to be constant throughout...

Here's another video illustrating the shinkansens used today:

The interesting thing is some of the combinations that i really didn't know... An E2 with an E3-Tsubasa? My reckon is the E2 was running a Yamabiko service hence it's connected with the E3-Tsubasa... I love the E3 Komachi crossing the steel grinder bridge!

Set the cruise at 205. Why not? JR Tokai even wants to run N700-I's in Texas...

Ochanomizu

It is the 103 series Chuo Line (orange color) and Sobu Line (yellow).  In the latter years, with air conditioning.  It is after 1967.  Original cars date back to 1963.  103 series was very common and so popular at Ochanomizu station.  Surely, you all know the junction of Chuo, Sobu and Marunouchi Lines?  Sweet memories.

Also, see-through Unitrack??

Update: I thought I'd better edit this post rather than make a new one. Kato announced platforms for LRT vehicles. I think it's from the Shizuoka hobby show bill937ca mentioned.

Oh, I want the 23-140/141 low-level platforms.  I wonder how many months it will be before those show up.

Will Kato offer that 1250x600 diorama?

Mardon

Certainly looks like it.  "Alpine Express Layout" 1250 x 600 Summer release, price TBA.

wonder if/when they are going to do single track concrete ties past just the one 248 piece for the new station... perhaps too much to do with a wide product line.
