I'm gonna end up buying one of these. The SuperGrafx was an upgraded PC Engine. The PC Engine was very successful, but the SuperGrapfx wasn't much of an upgrade. It had about 8 games, and half of them worked on the PC Engine with slightly reduced graphics.

Why am I attracted to failed video game systems?

Anyone know anything about this book? The title is "Oshiri tantei" which translates as "bum detective". I think he's a detective who has a bum for a head, not a detector of bums.

Contemplating picking up a Sega SG-1000 MK III. It's very similar to the Master System, but has weaker sound. For games you might as well get the Master System, but I just like the styling. I need to fine one that is broken so it's cheap, but in good cosmetic condition.

It's an NHK cartoon series for kids. https://www.oshiri-tantei.com/ ; https://www.nhk.jp/p/oshiri-t/ts/RYY92G3KV9/

Fortunately for what remains of my sanity it is no longer popular in the Squid household. (Unfortuntely Spongebob now is).

I'm going to end up getting one of these... Really could do with one that has video output, as the LCDs were quite poor back then. Need a model that will play a decent selection of PC9801 games.

Want... But it's very large. Maybe I can ship it... TBH it's not that great, if you look at videos it's very fast but not all that interesting. The height at which it floats is not to scale either.

Those tiny little Toshiba notebooks are very sexy... Classic Windows 95 stuff, the "multimedia" features barely work, Microsoft fumbling around and the Japanese manufacturers offering great hardware. The little knob thing on the right is a trackpoint mouse, from memory the buttons are on the back.
