When my most recent Plaza Japan order arrived there was a copy of a 22 page Tomytec Diorama Collection catalog in it. It is full of Building Collection, Visual Scenes Collection, and figure items but apart from the back cover not a mention is made of the Moving Bus Collection or the Tomytec trams. Maybe there is a separate publication, although the trams come out at a much slower pace with a shorter shelf life.  What of the moving buses???

I get the feeling that the moving buses are not selling well and Tomytec is not looking into the moving bus system as much. This is also evident on the newer models being not compatible to the bus motors, and the availability of the bus motors and tracks are also dwindling... It's sad, the bus motor is one of my fav systems, being a huge bus fan and all but oh well....

I thought there was mention of updated bus chassis a few months ago on the Tomytec Youtube podcast. They certainly won't sell well if there is zero availability though. I was under the impression there was something currently in development, or did I dream that?

Out of interest, @bill937ca does your guide have a publication date? The only reason I ask is that the front image looks to be quite old. None of their newer released buildings or vehicles are shown that I can see.

That was my understanding that something is under development. Maybe the launch has been hampered by Covid.

I looked for a date and can't see one, but it could be in Japanese.

We discussed that in the Tomix thread. As far as I can understand, there is no release date and no model number yet.

Yes. That was in April. But they have removed the video from YouTube…

Solar panels are fun too. More cost effective maybe fha  the sankei, but really you could just print them on glossy photo paper and stick on a piece of cardstock or thin styrene as the panels are now pretty slim these days.

YEAH! U know i'm excited!

Oh? I had never pegged you for a Kōbe Dentetsu fan, much less a 1000 series fan like myself?! It's so great to find another kindred spirit on this forum! Are you most excited about the De 1070 /De 1050/De 1100/Sa 1200 type 5 car formation, or are you more the De 1070/De 1150/Sa 1250 3-door car type? Personally I'm a bit torn on this, as I prefer the look of the 3-door De 1050/De 1070/ De 1150/Sa 1250/De 1320/1350/1370 and 1500/1600 type cars, over the 2-door types (De 1000/De 1100/Sa 1200 and De 1300 type cars), but I also like the older De 1050 and De 1100/Sa 1200 type cars, so perhaps I should just get both? Anyway, I'm really excited to hear your opinion as a fellow Kōbe Dentetsu 1000 series fan!🙃 (1)

*chuckles* it's actually the rubber tired KiHa thingies, isn't it?😉

(1) despite being tongue in cheek, I really am a Kōbe Dentetsu 1000 series fan, so I'm looking forward to both models.

I'll get the 3-door type. I'll probably buy 3D-printed underfloor details for them too. I have a thing for Kobe Dentetsu and would like that more serious manufacturers would pick these up. Specially the 2000 and 5000 series.

Zomgawowee — That little 3-wheeler is so cute!

It was only available in car collection 11 and a four car set, by which both are already out of stock....  X_X

Yeah, we all sort of figured that on the buses, lucky strike there for you!

I was hoping the current photo indicated they were bringing the three-wheeler back though.  That's mean of them to use it as a prop if they aren't.

So i've gotten the GJ (great Job) set 2 featuring one of my fav diorama (being in the industry and all), construction!

20220402_103443.thumb.jpg.4c9e54f77f37cb28506bc400ce2f52e0.jpg

Box of 8 sets, pretty large box

20220402_103456.thumb.jpg.8e8e9abaaf41f5eeb910dc185cfe62e8.jpg

Front view of each single box

Rear view showing all the available parts in each box

Side view, showing the truck and excavator front ends

The other side, showing the massive height the concrete (elephant) pump can reach!

20220402_103605.thumb.jpg.1e3c9e0976cfea7ab801ffd71a5583e1.jpg

Here's what is included in each set, the box, an insert with the vehicle, one road plate printed on both sides, two singular hard cardboard white paper (not sure for what usage), some misc parts including the small parts such as cones and figures, and an instructional booklet

I LOVE this first semi flatbed! The truck head is beautiful, and those precast concrete piers are very nice and 'clicks' on nicely to the rear of the flatbed. The holes on the flatbed also allows for a container to be fitted on nicely

Box 2 shows the white concrete pump, the misc parts, the same road plate and 2 white plates

20220402_113236.thumb.jpg.4baea529e7123bfa51671a75e4936bdd.jpg

Box 3 is a cement truck with misc parts and the 'hoarding' pieces for the work site

20220402_113428.thumb.jpg.bb94f500c8db4d7ad5e2d7f355820a17.jpg

Box 4 is a utility truck with materials and a crane on its rear, also included is the orange crane that requires assembly

20220402_153152.thumb.jpg.cd1e0bf0eee57aa05192903ee1335fa1.jpg

Box 5 is the 2 mini excavators, the semi-built apartment block with its base and the red steel members to be assembled to make it look like it was being constructed

20220402_153406.thumb.jpg.f0f014e086001e5ec5a2ca42709f418f.jpg

Box 6 is the White dumper truck with misc parts and again the hoarding pieces for the work site

20220402_153743.thumb.jpg.6d787958faa4e7163aebc3b0f240a967.jpg

Box 7 is the RED concrete pump truck with misc parts. This truck as always been labelled as a fire engine instead because of it's red. I think it's more ideal to make it another colours like Green or Blue but they had to go with red...

20220402_153841.thumb.jpg.1af7fcdcf55240482a0299443612beae.jpg

20220402_153848.thumb.jpg.04a0a3006a0a626f670ced5c2baea089.jpg

The concrete pump trucks are REALLY the highlight of this set (and also why i got it), they look really authetic and the working concrete pump segments are really amazing! Parts are included to swap out (not pictured) to make the spider extenders for better stability when using the pump at such a long length/ height

And my COMPLAINT, box 8 is actually the 'special' set of the box... i mean, i am usually happy to receive 'special' sets, but this one... oh no. unless you are modelling a 'Showa Era' diorama, it really doesnt fit in with the rest of the diorama! Besides that, being the special set, it 'removes' the container office, which is usually included in the normal set, and gave u 3 road barricades and one more figure instead. If you ask me, it really destroys the scene since it is not in the correct era, and the missing container office really sucks...

20220402_153616.thumb.jpg.8df408346d9e6787a02d9004a8cf88c9.jpg

And this is the 'special' truck... Not too bad and a real gem if you are into Showa era trucks, but like i said before, it really doesnt fit in with the rest of the diorama... Luckily for me, i have a spare Hino truck to swap this out since it can also couple with the flatbed ....

There seems to be a new Tomytec product page, which is great and refreshing, and easier to share new releases!

https://diocolle.tomytec.co.jp/

What REALLY caught my eye (apart from the usual bus culprits), is the rather interesting 'Highway' bridge diorama pieces. They do look pretty nice, but one would probably need quite ALOT of these pieces to form up a nice expressway...

ALL new releases on ONE PAGE! Sweet~

Yes, but not so many for a short strip for the classic framing the end of a T-Trak module!

I'm still waiting for Tomytec to re-release the old Medium LNG tanks.  Haven't even seen them (at prices I'm willing to pay) on Yahoo Auction for the last several years.  Even the exorbitantly priced ones are few and far between.

Nice! Looks like you get 3 small sections of the expressway, walls and piers in each box. Maybe 10” worth of a single side, so yes doing a couple of meters like Curt’s expressway would be quite a cost! But perfect for crossing a Ttrak module back to front!

Ooooooh Prague and Leipzig Tatras! The (not exactly cheap) price includes motor unit, which I haven't seen before.

Also some nifty (Japanese) motor vehicle detail sets.

The two-car T3 set includes the TM--TR01 power unit, but for the single T3 the TM-TR01 is a separate purchase.   With the two-car set there would be no power unit in-stock issues. There are still about 300 T3s running in Prague. The T3 is a PCC car.

Because these are non-Japanese models Hobby Search lists these models in a separate category--- Model Train N > < N-Scale > Train (Complete / World) > Electric Car (EMU)  >
