JR 500系 Posted June 1, 2014 Share Posted June 1, 2014 This is the month of pre-orders arrival, and it is also a month for instant noodles and canned food. My largest order by far is coming in soon with some seriously beautiful trains. Another carries the N700 Kumamon-Kurochan with 209-0 Keihin-Tohoku and a rare 400 series in old painting.. Small order from HS sees some storage cases and the Tomix 9127 EF-81 Cassipeia colour locomotive which I was looking for some time... Now I can do a loco change scene! Stay tuned for pictures when they arrive. Meanwhile, a small parcel came in from F Models from the recent bus collection 17 50% discount and a free Kato Catalogue. Now how can I miss out on getting more illumi for the trains? Link to comment

200系 Posted June 8, 2014 Share Posted June 8, 2014 Jeff, It's a great (and detailed) read, bought it a few months ago and I'm glad I did. Though like you I would've loved to see somehting simmilar for the entire Japanese Railway history. back to the topic at hand, I recieved notice from the home front that my HS order containing the following items has safely arived: -Kato E2系1000番台 J51~J75 formation (10 car set) -Kato E3系0番台 this neatly completes my 1999~2011 JR East shinkansen collection, at least in terms of the series covered from the 200系 up till the E4系 (still looking to add a few sub-formations, especially in regards to the 200系 though) I also placed a reservation for the new Kato ED75形. Looking forward to the Tomix 300系 and Kato 181系 (Asama) this month. 1 Link to comment

I'm aware that this is an older release, but it's quite an attractive train nonetheless. I look forward to coupling it with a Tomix 200 series in the future. Link to comment

Yes still buying some stuff from HS as they have an extensive range of items hard to find elsewhere, and I've been waiting for the Tomix 9127 Cassiopeia locomotive for a long time and it suddenly popped up on HS being re-stocked item. Bought some more storage cases for my buses and a 11-car box which is perfect for the Yamanote, just that I didn't have a 11-car Yamanote.... Some small structures from Tomytec... Bought some headmarks logo too for fun and was pleased to see the details on such a small logo! Definitely will have fun trying them out on various locomotives! Link to comment

Dave1960 Posted June 11, 2014 Share Posted June 11, 2014 Received my Nagomi 'Special' vehicle yesterday, it's interesting to see the difference between this coach and the one issued last year. Basically it's the badges on the sides and the coach numbers printed on the ends. Also received my Nagano Series 1000 Super Express 'Yukemuri', I think this train looks better in the flesh than the photographs, my wife thought it was cute. Dave Link to comment
