Pauljag900
So after a few electrical problems(me overloading the supply!) I purchased a 12v 5amp supply and a reducer to 6v for the 6v street lights.Reducer will power 3amps worth of lights which leaves me 2 Amps spare so I ve also ordered a step down to 3v which I ll use to power a few more led street lights. My order form Nariichi arrived yesterday, few bits and bobs and some kits. Village area now illuminated! 6 Link to comment
Pauljag900
The last point needed for the storage yard, platforms and station arrived today. Not the best station I guess but the one that takes up the least space at the front. Placed in position straight from the box so no detailing yet. Also a quick shot of night time. 9 Link to comment
Pauljag900
When I was planning my layout a couple of years ago I was on the computer on anyrail whe my five year old grandson came and sat on my knee and asked me what I was doing,i told him I was planning a big Japanese layout in a new shed but at the moment it s just a dream mate, but one day we ll do it,he then jumped down and said to his dad, grandads making me a Japanese dream! Ever since it s stuck,so I ve had a poster made for the grandkids,3feet wide x 4 feet high(A0)I m going to mount it to a piece of wood and hang it above the layout at the back. Not sure anyone s intrested but I was really pleased with the poster so thought I d share it, 5 Link to comment

katoftw
The mirror aren't doing it for me. Too much confusion. But when the lights are out, that is when the magic happens. Those mirrors really extend the city's lights. 2 Link to comment

Thanks kato, the lights are a "must have" for me mate, the whole layout takes on a completely new dimension at night.I do nt know what it is but it just looks totally different when it s lit up! And the photo does nt do justice to any layout really, the real thing is much better than the photo would suggest, Edited June 9, 2016 by Pauljag900 Link to comment

Pauljag900
With the arrival of some bits for the gas station it s now almost complete, street lights and figures to be added in due course. Many thanks to eurostar25 for his help and encouragement with this as it was his thread that gave me the original idea but was nt sure if it would fit,he assured me it would and he was right! 10 Link to comment
serotta1972
Wow Paul, very nice - you get a Gas Station and it just wouldn't be complete without a refinery huh. :) It looks like the tanker trucks don't have a long way to deliver the gasoline. 1 Link to comment

JR 500系
Hi Paul! I must say that factory diorama is really nice! The factory buildings with the pipes really add into the oil refinery scene... Very well done! Thanks for sharing! 1 Link to comment

If possible, the area inside the yellow square in the picture below (around the overhead track and close to the buildings). Cheers, Nxcale p.s.
