Hi Jeff,

Cheers for the effort Jeff,as I say,these are the bits and bobs I want to do when fine tuning the layout,re wiring and fitting switches is another,just want to add a bit more organisation to the whole thing really,remote control/ dimmers for lights is something else I may consider.

Need to get the scenics done first,still a ton of stuff to do yet.

Storage yard area almost complete.Plastic street lights have been replaced with working ones but unfortunately I can t connect them to the power just yet,hopefully going to try over the weekend.

Ha ha I know! Once the track was down and trains on it I just thought I may aswell make something of it.

All those vertical elements (lampposts, utility poles etc.) lend it a very Japanese look.

Haha! But to make a true transportation hub, you need to add on a ferry terminal as you have the express and commuter trains, tram, buses and taxis covered. A heli pad if you want air service.

What about a monorail? And future-proof it with a linear Shinkansen (as the stations will be underground this can be modelled by creating appropriately signposted entrances ;) ).

Hovercraft! I was proud to use my jr pass in 84 to do a hovercraft ride! There was a small surcharge...

Hey serotta,the last of my children left home a few months ago so I now have two spare rooms,I m currently trying to negotiate one for my own personal use! Ha ha unfortunately negotiations have broken down due to lack of intrest on my wife's part!

I ve even done my track plan in preparation!! Watch this space!!

Had an area between train track and tram line on back baseboard and been contemplating what to do with it,I figure there s enough buildings and not much green so decided to just make a bit of a hill with a path through ,

Well it took a while and was a bit of a struggle but I ve finally managed to complete the wiring on the storage yard area and the shrine kit

No pronlem mate,I m no expert but happy to help,

I use a 12v power supply and a step down,basically they use them for cars

Got one of those odd shaped nothing areas that tend to just appear in between laying tracks I did nt want to use any more buildings.

The Tarmac area at the back will be home to a small fairground with working Ferris wheel and roundabout,the front will be home for a small boating lake and fishermen.
