Dang i should have informed you Ami had one sitting in their bargains bin for somewhere above 6k yen for quite a few months.... X_x... While the Asunaro isnt exactly the best looking amongst its sisters, the strange colour palette surely adds an interesting twist to the HB-E300s ~ 2 hours ago, serotta1972 said: Kiha 100/110’s - love these little guys. One of my favorite train rides back in 2017, nice and slow through rice paddies and small towns. I love the Kiha-110s too! i should ride on of these guys, perferably the ones on Hachiko line beyond Kowagoei station ~ Link to comment

Still on the fence whether to get it. I rode the 110 on the Hachiko Line from Takasaki to Komagawa with 14 station stops with a total distance of 65 km and the rest of the line was on a Series 205 to Hachioji. Total trip was 96.4 km. It was a nice long and slow ride. On the 110, there were a lot of opportunities to stand by the driver. Link to comment

serotta1972
A little Hokkaido action. TN couplers are magic, no gap between the cabs. 8 Link to comment

disturbman
Body-mounted TNs, the boggie-mounted ones are the opposite of magic. In that case, the cab extremities of Tomix 733 come equipped with Shibata type body-mounted TN couplers. Both the 733 and the Kiha 261 would use these between cars as well. railsquid
A Kato EF65 which I acquired new (!) 5 years ago (!) and which has not seen much action since then: Kato EF65 1000 (EF65 1100) by Rail Squid, on Flickr Kato EF65 1000 (EF65 1100) by Rail Squid, on Flickr "N Koya" cab rear wall stickers applied, though barely visible. FWIW the same model (3061-1) will be re-released in a few weeks. 5 Link to comment
JR East
This Saturday, a mix of trains. Starting with my 6-cars Hinotori (JR 103 in background) I really do like the HKTILC.com leds in yellow bulb The yard ... JR103, my lovely JR 313-3000, the Hinotory and in background, a two sets of JR E353, a 3-cars and a 9-cars. As I'm not authorize to drill the table ... lots of wires and place enough to park my JR E353 3-cars set Who said that size doesn't matter? a 20 cm longer table would be better. Thanks to the banked curves. JM Edited May 10, 2022 by JR East Typos 9 Link to comment

Kamome
My kids refer to the 787 as “kaba train” as they think it looks a bit like a Hippopotamus. 1 4 Link to comment

serotta1972
Nothing sleek about a Hippo. 😁 We finally went back to the Zoo after 2 years and my daughter loves going to see Bruce the Hippo only to find out it's gone, not dead thank goodness but instead it's being paired up with a potential mate in the Cincinnati Zoo. Kamome
Set up a short table top layout (about 1m x 2.5m) to run some of the projects and acquisitions that have not been run other than to test their motors and lights work. Constructed a short double track mainline for my boys to run trains without causing any collisions, branch line with local station and cement works with a some storage yards and a head shunt. Track plan Some of my limited selection of non JR stock. Shonan-Shinjuku and Shonan liner. Branch line and local service. Cement loader (Tomytec coal tower) And troop exercise equipment being transported. Edited June 12, 2022 by Kamome 7 Link to comment
