valkyriepm
Yay! Received the rest of the structures needed to plan the mini layout. So it´s time to work!! On the next one will come some more Taki 1000 and a DE10. Martin 8 Link to comment
chadbag
Came today by DHL from amazon.co.jp. It was a single item and just came in a bubble envelope, with no other padding. The jewel case had a small crack in it. Second time I have gotten a padded envelope (out of way more orders than I should admit to) and first time anything was cracked. Not a big crack and not a big deal, though I will be giving feedback to Amazon so that they can hopefully do better. A KATO DD51 in JRF livery. Runs very nicely. Have not popped the body off yet but I assume it will be the same as other KATO DD51 inside. 11 Link to comment
Kiha66
Awesome model! I really like the AC (?) boxes on the steps. Kato's DD51 is my go to model when I need something that will look good and run like a dream. Link to comment
Philphil
Not sure if anyone else saw this, but it seems like 80% of Hobbyland Pochi's online train inventory went out of stock nearly overnight... Does Golden Week compel people to spend lots of money on model trains (among other things?) Link to comment
railsquid
They are having a big 3 day sale event in Akihabara, highly likely a lot of stock is there and has been removed from the system for the duration Link to comment

I guess I know why, but could we at least know what the 5 items are? My Buyee parcel got delivered! Man what a ton of air.... Paid for expensive Japanese air in a box.... Basically 4 train sets, and the bus diorama plate that Phil has recommended.... First up, the 'lucky win', Kiha-200 HTB colour motor car set! Decal got stuck with the instructional booklet, what a bomber.... But overall a really nice set! I loved it! Could have known if I got this at such a bargain I would give up the one I ordered from HS.... Next is the much anticipated and much wanted Kiha 220 set, in Red Rapid livery! Comes as a motor car set too, and the previous owner has already fitted in TN couplers on one end of each of the car... nice! Next up, another Kiha 220 which I wanted, this time just a trailer without motor, but in the Sea Side Liner livery.... TN coupler installed too! Great! Finally, another Kyushu train, but this time an EMU... the 813 series in silver! Now we can connect them up with the red one! Edited May 4, 2018 by JR 500系 8 Link to comment
Yavianice
Received some much needed odd pieces today for my layout. The curves are continuously superelevated ones instead of the “runner up” parts, as far as I know only sold in conjunction with V12 sets. Will allow me to be a bit more creative with my layout. Very happy! 6 Link to comment

Tomix EF65 2000 series by Rail Squid, on Flickr I think it was seeing pictures on your Flickr stream as well as quite a number on the Japanese Freight Lovers group on Facebook that finally gave me the urge to purchase the EF65-2000's that I got recently. 1 Link to comment
railsquid
I do so apologize ;) Actually blame the Squidlet. it's his fascination with a) tunnels and b) containers which has led me to frequent the Musashino line, and it kind of rubs off. It's also one of the last bastions of JNR-ness in the Tokyo area so I'm enjoying it while I can... 1 1 Link to comment
bill937ca
Two more parcels from Japan. A Micro Ace Gakunan Railway 5000 (Red Frog) and a Tomytec 073-3 Commuter Rail Station & Accessories Set. Now that the gakunan 5000 is here work should start on the Showa layout soon. :) 6 Link to comment

Ultratram
Found a "like new" kato 113 on ebay for $112. I was the only bidder! Now I just need to change couplers to attach my kumoyuni. 6 Link to comment

tt0880
So, I've been super excited to post this... Something pretty special and unique came in the mail today... It's a special handcrafted Japan Rail Mirror for the train room! (Ignore my hand and phone... it's pretty difficult to get a picture of a mirror without being in it!) I chose JR East because it was what I rode the most during my time in Japan. My girlfriend assured me that it does actually say East! But that's not all... It gets way cooler! It plugs in! That's the shade of green I come to expect with JR East! It looks even cooler with the lights off: It's not even mounted on the wall yet, but I was too excited not to post it. I think this is a super cool and unique item that can hang in the train room. For anyone curious, I got it handmade by a gentleman I met at a local train show who was selling some premade backlit mirrors of some more popular United States railways. I asked him if he made customs, and a few months later, here we are! I am so pleased with how it turned out! 17 Link to comment

cteno4
Very cool! I’ve wanted to play with this as with the silhouette cutter it’s easy to make a sticky vinyl mask to do mirror or glass sandblasting like this. Mirror allows cool backlighting like this! jeff Link to comment

JR 500系
2 more parcels got dropped off recently... One from HS, a small little order that I totally forgotten about before my vacation... SAL do take a long time... The 225-5000 series Kansai Airport/ Kishuji Express 4-car set... now we can couple this with our existing 223-5000 series! Another from Ami, an order that came in for sometime but yet to be open... The lot of bus sets, and that lovely Railway collection 26 series! I usually never buy any railway collection series in boxes, but this one had many of the train that I reckon I could use so.... Anyway, I didn't get the secret variant.... Gotta love these double decker coaches! Very lovely indeed! Was I mistaken, but how can we fit all of the trains, all 12 of them, from the railway collection 26 series into the case of the railway collection 26 when it only holds 6 trains??
