Guest Closed Account 1
Yes is it. The other with what looks like underpants on its head has great colours also. Tighty whities are out since the 80's. 1954G
According to Hobby Search, pre-orders have started for the 8037-6 Taki1000 ENEOS, 8042-2 Koki200 ISO tank container, and the 3045-1 EH200. I'll definitely pre-order these (but not from Hobby Search). Those ENEOS Takis are pretty popular. Updated release schedule here: http://www.katomodels.com/distribution/schedule.shtml July will be an expensive month for fans of Kato's freight stuff. Link to comment
katoftw
Hobby Search always seems to get their pre-order stuff up and advertised a day or two before manufacturers announce them. Link to comment
JR 500系
Yes. And a couple more Kato sets came up for reservations: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/1699/0/1 Mainly old releases of the E531 Joban Line and a 313-1700? Also this came back again: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10320574 Link to comment
VJM
It's not quite an old release of the E531 Joban Line. The destinations have been updated to reflect the new running, and the front skirt should also be different as well. Link to comment
Kamome
I'm glad they've finally decided to model the KUMOHA 52 (10-1288) as this was lacking from their Iida line offerings so far. Just hope Kato decide to produce an ED62 at some point as well. The Koki 200s with NRS containers also would add some more variety. Don't know why Kato don't release more containers as an accessory. I suppose you can order them as Assy parts? Link to comment
miyakoji
New paint scheme for EH200? I think that's the regular one. The undercarriage is clean, and it looks like a very bright day. That E531 looks good... Link to comment
Mudkip Orange
52 series with the shovelnose front end? Yes plz. Link to comment
Fenway Park
Looks like only one end of the set has a 52 series ,giving Kato the opportunity of producing the full Iida Line set to match the very old Green Max kit. Link to comment
Jensen
Does anyone know if Kato will make Kintetsu Shimakaze? Link to comment
JR 500系
Does anyone know if Kato will make Kintetsu Shimakaze? Not sure about this, but I reckon it will be tough since Kintetsu has given permission to Tomix for this. Why not get the Tomix one? I think the Limited edition 6 car set is sold out, but the 3 + 3 is still available. Speaking of which, Kato went ahead to release the E3-2000, right on 1st May... http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10303958 Darn... Now Tomix is lagging behind greatly. The colours look so sweet on this one! JR 500系
I saw this on Kato website, making me think it was an official release! http://www.diotown.com/creative/2015/04/marine-exp-odoriko-e259kei.html Turns out to be a customised model. Nonetheless it looks amazingly good. I think he did a good job in the new paint scheme and the cartoons. He made a video here too: It's nice Kato website links modellers customised products on their website. Nice ~ 2 Link to comment

katoftw
Kato is re-releasing their Twilight Express sets. Link to comment
katoftw
And for something interesting. They are releasing the Hankyu 9300 in a 4 car basic and a 4 car add on set. But you can also get a 8 car set that is limited edition. Taking a page out of Tomix's marketing books? Link to comment
VJM
And they are finally releasing the 3 missing HO cars from the Hokutosei consist. I can now finally complete my train. Link to comment
JR 500系
Ah yes beautiful indeed. http://www.katomodels.com/product/poster/files/2015_8a.jpg The Hankyu 9300 certainly looks tasty! Was hopping to get a nice Hankyu train and I think the time is now! Certainly Kato doesn't want to lose out on the Twlight express especially when Tomix is doing a major Sayonara box with 3 locomotives! For the HO lovers, you're not forgotten! http://www.katomodels.com/product/poster/files/2015_8b.jpg Link to comment
