upwpfan
John; With respect to the Kato Type 41 / 45. Who did you order it from? Regards Jere Ingram Link to comment
John P Boogerd
It was listed on ebay - it must be an older set because its not in their catalogue. Link to comment
catcliffedemon
I got this from Rokko Hobby Shop in Kobe, I'm very pleased as I thought I'd missed the chance - it's sold out pretty much everywhere except for a few full retail places (Tenshodo), and secondhand examples. Looking forward next to the mid-production EF66 in JRF blue due in a couple of months time. Already pre-ordered! New arrival pictured below, plus a picture of the whole fleet :) Edited February 1, 2014 by catcliffedemon 1 Link to comment
westfalen
I caved in to the temptation and bought a Tramway C12 seeing I can't get an N scale one. It's a beautiful model and I hope they carry the workmanship over to their upcoming N scale C11. I especially like the DCC plug and speaker holes. Now I have to get some rolling stock for it, and the Tramway DD16 looks nice..... Link to comment
Nick_Burman
My assembled Hobby Model Re12000 arrived a couple of days ago. Painted, weathered, Kadees for US$60.00. Now I have the beginnings of a nice train... :-) Cheers NB 1 Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
Not Japanese, nor even H0; but UK and 00, my latest addition is something from my younger days... http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/images/prod_25953_2229.jpg These units were the mainstay of the few unelectrified secondary lines in the counties of Hampshire, Sussex and Kent from 1957 until about 2004. They carried a number of liveries, with the final survivors carrying the white, yellow and blue Connex livery depicted on this model. They are slightly unusual in the UK as the were DEMUs - the majority of early DMUs using mechanical or hydraulic transmissions - and their distinctive engine noise earned them the nickname of 'Thumpers'. I might even be tempted to get the sound chip for it sometime in the future... 1 Link to comment
miyakoji
Claude, what class are those? There may be some video with running noise on youtube. Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
They are the class 205 - known as 'Hampshire Units'. The 'Sussex' units were the class 207. Thumpertastic! :) Edited February 20, 2014 by Claude_Dreyfus 1 Link to comment
bnicolas1987
Hi, I ordered a few time ago the Ef 65-500 from Kato, it was before knowing this forum... Here is it: It is a very beautiful model. See you. Nicolas Link to comment

catcliffedemon
The latest addition to the fleet, Tomix HO mid-production EF66-0 in JR Freight colours. The real things are sadly all scrapped now but I saw a couple of them on my trip to Japan in 2009. I would have preferred a more current JRF machine but who knows when Tomix will get around to one of those. Edited March 8, 2014 by catcliffedemon 1 Link to comment

Nick_Burman
I'm the proud owner of 2x Tramway TaKi35000 tank cars, JOT "Bat"/Caltex version. Beautiful cars. Now I have a rather nice private railway freight, Toshiba 40ton electric + 2x tanks + reefer + WaMu80000 boxcar. The only thing missing is a brake van. Cheers NB 1 Link to comment
Nick_Burman
Here are the tank cars in an (rather unlikely) private railway train. I still need to apply transfers and name plates on the side. Now the only thing missing is a brake van... Cheers NB Edited March 10, 2014 by Nick_Burman 2 Link to comment

westfalen
Ordered a couple of coaches to go with my Tramway C12. It's getting a bit lonely even though it's just sitting in its box. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10186527a2/20/2 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10186511a2/20/2 1 Link to comment
marknewton
Over Christmas and the New Year I worked quite a lot of overtime, plus I had trainees with me for most of that period as well. So I've had a bit of spending money to play with, and some good luck with auctions on JAUCE. As well as a number of freight and passenger cars, I got a third Kato D51, and after many attempts, a MicroAce KiHa40 railcar. I wanted a third D51 so I could recreate the famous Nunohara triple-headers. I'll post some photos tomorrow. Cheers, Mark. 1 Link to comment

westfalen
My Tramway C12 and its freight train. Will probably get a couple of open wagons and maybe a refrigerator wagon to round off the fleet and add a bit more variety. 1 Link to comment

Will probably get a couple of open wagons and maybe a refrigerator wagon to round off the fleet and add a bit more variety. IMG_1595.JPG If you want to really make a difference, throw a HoKi2200 covered hopper in the middle. I have a DVD (copied from an LD disc! It just shows how old it is...) about the last days of steam in Hokkaido (in colour) which has a scene showing a local freight consisting of a C class tank loco, a gondola loaded with logs, a HoKi2200 hopper, a boxcar and a brake van - I wonder where on earth that HoKi was coming from and going to tied in the middle of such a train...
