MicroAce - New Releases

a bit?

but it's nice to see more 3500s.  i missed this due to the insane pricing and maybe another release will put a little relief on aftermarket prices.

Considering it'll be on sale for about ¥15,000 (30% off) at most big retail shops, I think I'll consider this one. This early version probably won't be as popular as the rebuilt versions or the Shibayama 3500, so it'll probably drop even more in price later I think. I don't consider it an urgent purchase, as my focus is more on Sōtetsu and Kantō Railway nowadays. It's been ages since I've rode on the Keisei network, or even a Keisei train for that matter, so my interest is slowly fading away. As a matter of fact, an 8-car Sotetu 7000 goes for about the same price as that 3500 on the 2nd hand market, so I'll probably get that one sooner anyway. xD

Hello ladies!

Just a small note on the KiHa 185 Trans Kyushu Express.  It was last released in 2004 for 9,800 yen.  Now it is being released for 13,600 yen.  317 yen per year price increase.  Not sure if the google translate is accurate or not.  But reading additional fog lights working now compared to old model???  Someone with better Japanese reading skills than me care to confirm please?

Oh dear.  MA just postponed (on their website) the release of my Isaburo/Shinpei 3 car set. Thanks for the update MA, it's not like I didn't know that was gonna happen. haha

I meant they actually assigned a release date after 2 years of the regular "to be released," then straight away changed it to postponed.  So after 2 different status updates, it is still the regular "to be released."

9800 to 13600 in 12 years isn't so bad compared to their other increases.  i mean, 20,000 yen for a flat coloured 117 4-car set.   that's extortionate.

From HS webpage hottest news!

HB-E300 Resort Furusato (2-Car Set) Micro Ace

Why did MA try the Resort train again after cancelling their previous pre-order? At least they did not try to make the Aoike one... That makes getting the Furusato and Ausunaro much more interesting...

Guys I need some help here... I know this is a weird and subjective question to ask, but I would still like some more opinions on this so go goes...

I'm thinking of getting one of the resort hybrid trains by MA, either the Asunaro or the Furusato. The problem now is... Which one?

I like the Furusato a little more for it's less daring colour scheme and its Furusato logo, and also the road which it runs on, the Otio line, which can be run together with my Otio line trains like the E127.

I like the Asunaro for its daring colours, and seems to be more eye catching on its vibrant colours... but I do not know much on the line it travels...

Choices, choices, choices....

Your opinions please?  :)

You see daring, I see disorganized ;-)

Seems like too many different contrasting/conflicting elements for a single scheme.

Personally, my interest lies with the KiNi58

The MA ones only?  The Kato model of the Shirakami Aoike looks great (NB1231's post here http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/4-kato-new-releases/page-81?do=findComment&comment=134443) and JRE has a new formation, the Shirakami Buna: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HB-E302-5.jpg maybe someone will make a model of it.

Thanks~ Hence I more inclined towards the Furusato actually....

Thanks! Yap I've ordered that one from Kato... Which makes me wonder even further.. If Kato already has the mould for that Shirakami, then it would be high likely they might further produce the Asunaro, Furusato, or even that Shirakami Buna! That's what I was pondering all along before diving straight in to order. Price wise, KAto would surely do better for a 2-car set than what MA is offering now...

Link to comment

I would go near the MA ones.  The Kato ones get twice the cars at 30% cheaper of price.  KAto will most likely do the other missing consists/colours in the future.

Katoftw, do you mean you wouldn't get near the MA ones? Your post isn't really clear.

If so, I have to agree with you. I think waiting for Kato to release colour variants on their HB-E300 is a better idea.
