I just placed an order with Osborns Model ebay for a 4 car basic set Joban E531 Series set to go with my 8 car Joban set purchased 6 or 8 years ago 😆

I ordered this C57-1 in a way I wasn't expecting.

The idea was to buy it from RG-Rokko, but when I had the budget the SL was out of stock.

 

I didn't even bother e-mailing Masaharu-san to ask if the information was correct. I just panicked and joined it to my Plaza Japan Z scale order.

 

So yeah. First Japanese SL arrived earlier than expected, hitching a ride with my Z scale stuff.

Ordered the TOMIX 8476 KOKO 106 (Early Model) set and the TOMIX 3180 Hokuetsu Corporation containers (dark blue version x2) and the Kiuso Distribution System (KRS) containers.

 

As I have no desire at this time to get these two trains for N Gauge, I did order the Plarail versions of them - 315 JR Central Chuo Main Line and 323 Series Osaka Loop Line

Let's try this AGAIN, I ordered a Kato 10-1290 which is the 10-570 basic 4 car set with motor car.

 

Guess what another seller shows that he has something in stock and then he doesn't what gives.

ehm. 🙄 not really..

when Kato release a new code, normally also reproduce a different car formation, I'm not sure it can be a good idea to mix it

10-570 was the E531 Joban Line release in 2009

10-1290 was the 2015 release. This model was based on trains for the newly opened Ueno-Tokyo through line Joban service.

The base sets and add on sets will couple together and create a full length train as the couplers are the same.

 

 The running numbers on the side of each car are different between the sets so if you’re not concerned about accuracy of running formations, it’ll still join together.  You may also find destination or service stickers to add to the side of the train maybe different between the 2 models as the later one reflects the changes after the new line opened.

I placed my first Japan Auction bid in a long time for a Kato E235-1000 4 car basic set.

Two Kato Power Pack Standard SX arrived  for a new train running project.  The power supply transformers will arrive maybe tomorrow on  another order.

After nearly a month of in-stock/stock-out ping-pong, there came one morning when 1999 had the Tomytec Hitachinaka Seaside Railway Kihas and the power unit both in stock at the same time!

 

Also in this order, the 1/450 Matsuyama Castle model is kitbashing fodder that will provide lovely roofs for small shrines, some straight track for T-Trak singles, and short and curved viaduct track on spec that should be handy for linking mini-one-track modules.

Package from RGR, but no stickers?! 😯 Let's have a look!

 

North Rainbow Express, what a nice set it is! Unfortunately densha.me did not respond to my request to unlock Czechia as a destination country so I can't order their lights directly. Will need to talk someone, preferably from EU, into buying one set for me. (Edit: Proxy found, thanks!) Also the Tomix freight set, nice as always, the print on the new yellow-belted cars is beautiful! The urethane is a little weird though. Sorry, got no photo of the cars.

 

Got a new bus, a bus power unit and an oval to run on, including one bus stop. Battery cell ordered today and should come in tomorrow, let's wait for a run. Also got a paperkit of Iwate-Ishibashi station - looks gorgeous! Hope I don't ruin it, it's been like half of my life since I last did a paperkit. Also NP116D power bogies for Sanriku Railway 36-2110 car so it uses the correct ones.

 

The North Rainbow Express got new Tomix TN couplers between the cars so the cars are closer together when coupled.

Yesterday RG-R Package hit my desk as well, yay!

Content for me is a new DE10 in JRF Livery, the 1000th Taki Edition Taki's, the Shinano Railway 115 3 Car Set, a ton of Kato cables for the new T-Track Layout and thankfully for Railgallery Rokko's outstanding service as usual, the Tomix X DISCOVER WEST mall special 9 car Platypus car set. Although these will likely not stay in my possession. Nothing wrong with them, printings on the containers are great, just was an impulse buy. As for the Taki's, I fear I finally have to re-attemt to DCC my EH500 wich sits broken on my shelf since my failed attemt to DCC it in February 2022 XD

Done by a friend of mine working as first flight officer, back from Japan who was able to buy in a (well-known) store what is prohibited to be sold abroad : Hello Kitty Shinkansen

 

 

 

I didn't had time enough during my round trip in April to find it in a retail shop ... and now (thanks to him) I got it (inc. 10% VAT Japan ...)

Very fun set of container cars. I mean you can’t turn down cars with platipuses on them! Figure they will look fun on mini onetrak.

Picked these up a few weeks back and just now getting to going through them. This pile of vehicles is from one of our old clubmember’s layout that got taken apart. About 229 cars and small trucks, 37 busses, 55 trucks and 8 construction vehicles.

 

now the job of sorting them out and deciding which to keep and which to sell off.
