I still resist to buy any Enoden train, although I like how they look like and I drove them a lot (I mean: a LOT) in Densha De Go. But I am afraid that this slope would be really slippery.

Yes, I know. More slippery than a ice storm.   I registered for Buyee a week ago and bid on a Modemo Meitetsu 520 yesterday for under 3000 Yen. I try again when everyone goes back to work after Golden Week. I also check out Mandarake now for used Modemo. I am a bad influence.

Having just returned from an internet forsaken land for more than 1 month, the parcels build up pretty quickly.... 

 

Had 3 small parcels from HS, and 3 other parcels from Ami... Let's see what we got!

 

First up from HS..... 

 

 

 

Couple of couplers (that's a strange thing haha) that are wrong.... and that Kiha 200 HTB color that I really want... HS has it listed on stock with the non-powered one, figured out, since it will be connected to the Seaside liner, why not? Then regretted when I won the Motor set a fair cheaper price than I got this trailer set from HS....   oh well....

 

 

Next up from HS.... 

 

 

 

Some spare parts belonging to the 883 series Sonic, some more (wrong) couplers, and a Hiace van set that I figured we can never have too many vans running around town...

Some more couplers (this time, its correct, the 0374), spare decal sheet for the Kirara and a Hiroshima 1000 series that looks sweet ~~

We finally have the 883 series Sonic! Wow this is a beauty! It just screams FAST! I rode on this guy back in 2015, but I still find the ride of the 885 series Sonic MUCH smoother than this....

We have the much awaited train sets, the Kintetsu 30000 EX Vista Car in NEW painting! This looks really nice, much better than the old painting I feel! Gotta ride the Vista car soon!

 

And the HB-E300 Resort Shirakami Buna formation! Man the painting on this is so nicely done, even the Mrs is praising it! 

 

Henceforth what an expensive April I had....

I have a package from Mandarake and Modeltrainplus which got posted just before golden week. Both are already at the outward office in Tokyo. I just hope they do not shut down air mail during golden week.

Today is the first public holiday during Golden Week. I took delivery of two parcels (neither train-related, alas), from two separate delivery companies, and noted various Japan Post vehicles pottering around the neighbourhood.

 

As long as orders have entered the postal system, there's no particular reason they'll be delayed this week more than any other.

Amazon brought this today.   New release / re-release of KATO containers (in sane 5-packs).  There was actually 1 more item, a DD51 new re-release/release, that Amazon decided to charge and ship separately.  They put most of the shipping charge on this shipment with the containers, so it looks like it was wildly expensive to ship for what it is.  But the DD51 shipment, still underway, shows a very low shipping cost, so in the end, it was a little high, but not as much as the receipt makes it look.

 

Because you can never have too many containers

Don't forget to get the TT-04R set too, it's the one that replaces the wheels on the trailer car so it actually runs (you get 2 sets of wheels and weights for the inevitable second one). Also there's the PG16 pantographs, the look a lot better but are kind of finicky but are inexpensive and take up the space of a matchbox in shipping.

Hopefully it isn't sold out, I've been looking for the helicopters for a while, dunno what I'll do with the Phantoms though since they're a little dated.

The JASDF still has three Phantom Squadrons based in Hyakuri. The paint jobs are  another thing though.

Worst case you could use one or two as gate guards.

The train is a Keihan 600 Series that is used on the Ishiyama Sakamoto line that runs along the surrounding foreshores of Biwako  (Lake Biwa) which is the largest freshwater lake in Japan, the Ishiyama Sakamoto line meets up with the Keihan Keishin Line at Hamaotsu which together form the Otsu-sen. The line is very popular with Japanese railfans as well as a number of us here, many of the trains are in what is called a "Wrapping" livery which is generaly a promotional livery.

Welcome to the Keion Club. I run mine one the same loop with the Hibike! Euphonium.

Ditto above. You will need the TT-04R set. but the good news is. One box has 8 wheel sets, so enough to motorize two sets  (one in the future}
