NEX-989
if i ever get this (doubtful - it's handsome but outside of my 'area'), i'll wait for kato to put one out based on their e257 azusa/kaiji (wonderful) mould. do you have the 255 microace sazanami to match? it is available at reasonable price used. anyway, nice pickups. the 255 is on my Wishlist ;-) im also thinking about purchasing the Kato E257 too Edited January 25, 2014 by NEX-989 Link to comment

JR 500系
Sometime ago, i received (or rather, picked up) a parcel and had to pay taxes (again). I seem to be a prime target for taxes now and i'll need to play it carefully... Contents were: 'Some' Tomytec buses; High speed tour bus x 5 box set, Hino Blue Ribbon bus 5 x box set and a very special 'Rilakumma' bus set! Tomytec BM-03 moving bus system for high speed buses x 2 GreenMax Toyoko Inn, that came unassembled. I think the building tends to fall apart quite a bit during shipping as i heard some others had the same experience of the building arriving fallen apart like mine... And... A 485 series Irodori 'Eyes' train! I'm a happy man! (if not for the taxes..) Link to comment

Was aware they have some. But I think 25 is enough for me. haha I might do something real stupid and pre-order the DD51 Sayonara 8 car set just for the Kokis. --- My Hiroshima Type 200 tram and C20 Kyushu containers turned up today. According to my 5yo son, the tram is small and for babies. I guess he doesn't class other N scael stuff as small. haha Edited January 28, 2014 by katoftw Link to comment

kvp
Mostly tomix and tomytec buildings that finally got through the customs. -the 3 dark grey buildings are going to be two larger towers connected by a ground floor building -most of the decals and add on parts are included, but some assembly will be required -for some buildings a little more than that, since they essentially came on sprues (everything not in a dark blue box) -looking at the tan residential building, i think it needs some shrubbery... 2 Link to comment
katoftw
can you let me kow how you go with that big residental block. i was looking at it a while ago. I like how you can randomly add satilite dishes and laundry hanging over the rails. the bike locker is a nice touch also. Edited January 31, 2014 by katoftw Link to comment

lurkingknight
man... really want to order some portrams... but I don't have a need for them.. but I love LRTs... I need more track and buildings atm more though.. and a 2nd train. tough decisions ahead. Starting to think I should do a quick tram layout with modular buildings that I can transfer over to my big layout if it ever gets going. While at the same time work on the buildings I'll need to support the large layout I have in mind. Link to comment

katoftw
Yup thats a goodie. Was thinking something similar with R150 and R183 curves, LRT platform and a few buildings. Done. I like the shed, didn't think of that. Link to comment
lurkingknight
I was thinking just a straight street... and then the whole thing just plugs into my final layout... since my layout will be an urban commute theme, just being able to drop the whole thing in or elements of by splitting it up/dispersing it among the larger layout, I can't lose. katoftw
My 50 years of containers lmited edition tomix set arrived today. comes with 2 different head marks to attach to locos also. which i didn't know about. happy! also comes the the 12 car koki case, so can add all my other koki 107s into the case also for storage. the most expensive kokis i've brought. not happy. haha got half way throught unpacking and gave up. all the 19D containers are individually wrapped in plastic and then boxed in 5 packs. got bored after 3 done. also added 3 koki 107s from other packs and a EF210. macdon
3 small boxes arrived today........ 1 from HS, 1 from FModels and 1 from my cousin in Hawaii. Both HS and FModel boxes were shipped last Dec 12 via SAL and I just got it today Feb 5 - almost 2 months. Xmas delays im sure. My cousin shipped just last week, so traveling time was pretty normal for his package. Mardon Link to comment
Lawrence
Somehow managed to order £50 worth from HS, only went on to get the 0677 chassis for my Monteray set and ended up buying 3 lighting units for it, some drive shafts, traction tyres and a couple of detail parts. I really need to focus more when I go on that site as I can guarantee I will get hit for import tax and the Royal Mails rip off handling fee :cussing: 2 Link to comment

Was a SAL package also. 1x new koki 50000 1x old koki 50000 w/ containers 2x old koki 50000 w/o containers Now to see if I can change the old versions to grey bogies.
