Gordon Werner
sorry for my absence folks ... been real busy w/work but I wanted to make sure y'all saw this http://www.wa98104.us/KER/DGwBBrFVwAAf7tF.jpg-large.jpg next up to receive the new / standard colors will be units 611/612 (formerly the red/green Sakamoto Cable Car colors) ... would be awesome if they'd release that livery along with the new one when the time comes Edited August 9, 2017 by cteno4 1 Link to comment
Gordon Werner
also ... in case y'all hadn't noticed ... I'll miss the Biwako blue ... but I have always thought that this mix of colors looked really sharp on Keihan's local-service fleet 3 Link to comment
splifdfx
The new livery looks great on those 800s.I was planning to get the microace set in the future ; now I'll be waiting for a new version to come out. Link to comment
Das Steinkopf
sorry for my absence folks ... been real busy w/work but I wanted to make sure y'all saw this http://www.wa98104.us/KER/DGwBBrFVwAAf7tF.jpg-large.jpg It's a pity that the 700 Series in the classic livery has the new logo instead of the old logo, I would have really liked to have got one to add to my pre Tozai Line fleet. katoftw
Did a 700 ever come with the old logo though? Link to comment

As far as Tomytec models are concerned no, in real life though yes as the new logo dates from 2008. Geomatrix released a set of dry-transfer markings w/the old logo (item K101) http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10305963 OOS on HobbySearch but I've seen it listed online quite often (i.e. https://shopping.yahoo.co.jp/products/c01f8ad404 ) In addition ... YMProject offers a decal set w/this logo https://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/zifrlvocajbty3c3rscbu3evpi/nnphbpnqjr.html they also sell other decals for use w/Keihan models as well as various parts Link to comment
Gordon Werner
This got me for a second before I saw the hash tag #u_s_o_train regardless, this is nicely done Link to comment
Kiha66
I have no idea what uso stands for, but some of the pictures with that tag are great. Seems like they are shopped images, mostly into new paint schemes? Link to comment
Densha
Uso (嘘) means 'lie' or 'false' in Japanese. As you already found out, this tag is used for photo shopping images into things that actually don't really exist. 1 Link to comment

Gordon Werner
then there was the time that 809 broke down and 603 had to come pull her back to the yard. Link to comment
Gordon Werner
QQ folks ... Approximately what year did Keihan switch from the old silver arrow icon thing to their actual name + flag logo? I've seen it as late as '08 ... but I can't remember when the actual shift took place. Anyone know? thx Link to comment
Das Steinkopf
It was definitely in 2008, I will see if I can find the month it was in the references I have used. Edited September 6, 2017 by Das Steinkopf 1 Link to comment

Gordon Werner
Here is one of the first photos I've come across showing 611F-612 (612 specifically) wearing the [new] standard corporate Keihan colors Link to comment
Das Steinkopf
As predicted by Katoftw late last year they have finally done it, no more hunting down the forever elusive Keihan Exclusive 80 series fitted with AC on Yahoo Auctions for near extortionate prices, now I have to figure what I want to do with the one I have should I leave it in original condition or decal it and weather it. http://www.tomytec.co.jp/diocolle/items/pdf/newitem_20170914_08.pdf 1 Link to comment
Densha
That's very good news! The pricing is still a bit steep though... Link to comment
