miyakoji
Here's an interesting one. I searched for an article with pictures of the distillery itself, but no luck. I assume it's the one along Tokaido Main Line (aka Kyoto Line) near Yamazaki Station, but I don't see any confirmation. Oddly, the articles I read don't have detailed information about the regions railway operations. I'll have to write to the editors :) http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/nov/04/suntory-time-japanese-whisky-named-worlds-best-in-sour-dram-for-scotland Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Yes, that's the distillery making the product. The area near the station was once a favorite railfan hotspot for photography as there was a pleasing curve, but I think recent raising of fences has lessened the appeal. http://www.suntory.com/factory/yamazaki/index.html?__utma=198440237.2057735766.1415246135.1415246135.1415246135.1&__utmb=198440237.8.8.1415246483423&__utmc=198440237&__utmx=-&__utmz=198440237.1415246135.1.1.utmcsr=huffingtonpost.jp|utmccn=(referral)|utmcmd=referral|utmcct=/2014/11/03/yamazaki-world-best_n_6097952.html&__utmv=198440237.|25=FOID=mj2t5Mgr2uqETPDX1b7ZMTiUbuU=1^26=FOSG=%2259364%22%2C%2259564%22%2C%2261855%22%2C%2263603%22%2C%2263609%22%2C%2263698%22=1&__utmk=3573616 Edited November 6, 2014 by bikkuri bahn Link to comment
yakumo381
A few pics of the curve and Yamazaki station. The distilleries are just a short walk from the station. 2 Link to comment
