Remember to use Japanese (with an assist from Google Translate) when looking for content on Youtube.

This is probably basic advice to long-standing members, but fellow newbs may be interested to know that I found a galaxy of content on Youtube when I pasted the Japanese transliteration of terms such as b-train shorty ( B-トレインショーティー ) and Plarail ( プラレール ) into the Youtube search field.

 

All in Japanese of course, but still fun to watch with informative demonstrations.

Is there a good tool for capturing and translating japanese text from images to english? (drawings or fotos of text, like station signs)

Yup, entirely true and of course not only for youtube but any other website/search tool. Just doing a translation of any word may help (although try to pay attention when using google translate).
