miyakoji
The last day for the Osaka Transportation Museum has been announced, it will close on April 6 of next year. It opened on January 21, 1962 to commemorate the completion of the Osaka Loop Line. The content of the museum (some of it anyway) will be moved to JR West's new museum, which is to open in Spring 2016. It'll be next to (or an addition to) the existing Umekoji roundhouse and museum. http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20130724-00000047-rps-bus_all Link to comment

While I'm sure the new museum will be good it was great to see a good all round collection of transport exhibits in one place, it will be a shame to see it split up. Link to comment
