Wow, that's a beautifully ballasted staging area and made even nicer with those spectacular Japanese trains.  Looks like you had the whole club layout to yourself - it must've been a really fun running session.

Love the 313's - I agree they're kinda boring but love the classic look and the resemblance to the 111, 113, 115's.

No prob sorry it was VERY late though! It's hard to get my ass off work and onto my hobbies these days... wonder what @Pauljag900 eats for breakfast.... 

 

Yes they are legit sets collected over the years... And i bet you'll recall that Urban Liner which i got from you about 3 years ago ~ It's a beauty!

Thanks! Yap i pondered whether to take the photo now, or later when the other Tsudoi arrives... but i guess it's now or never! I love the Kintetsu, it is one of my fav Pte Railways... This one represents the pte rail in Kinki Japan, and Odakyu for Kanto Japan!

 

Which reminds me... Odakyu coming up!

I'm getting reacquainted with my trains - I need to start opening up all my boxes.  I need to rearrange my hobby area as it has been overrun by 1/10 scale stuff, haha.  Right now I don't have room for my hollow core door temporary setups.  I didn't realize I had 4 DF200's. 😁

I was going to say the same thing: MA only did one set in that lineup. They produced a few more but it’s not JR’s focus. Didn’t know Kato made the Urban Liner.

Wow, didn't realize GM made so many of them.  I once owned an MA Kintetsu 5200 I think or at least same livery.  The Kato Urban Liner is from the 90's and Tomix also made one which was the first Tomix I ever owned.

Yap that was quite an older set with factory fitted interior lightings, and it still looks and runs great even after all these years. Its previous owner took good care of it!  😛

Yap most of the Kintetsu were GM ones... I wanted more red and white commuter livery or the brown and white ones but they are usually either GM or MA and rather expensive... so i thought i'll just make do with those 2 commuter trains.... 

 

Which brings us to Odakyu, which maker do you think turns out more often now!

It's great actually! I really couldnt see much difference than the other makers, probably even better made than some of the GM ones... It feels robust and as this came from the open market through Yahoo, the couplers were swapped to TN ones... Only complaint is perharps the directional lighting is WAY too dim for my liking... The Orange for headlight is a lousy bulb and the tail light is almost non visiable....

Yap i love it too, but hadnt gotten the chance to ride it... My fav romance car is still the VSE though, its looks is out of this world!!!

I really love those JNR express EMU and the commuter EMUs, I think RG-R still has the commuter set so I need to pick one up sometime!  I'm hoping tomix will do a model of the JNR revival kiha 40 for the SHR that should be entering service soon, I may pick one of those up.

Which livery are you talking about? The Red n°5 and the Express livery have been in service for a while.
