cteno4
Nice little set for a scene! wonder if the train bogies are included or just popped off the tomytec train and put there. jeff 1 Link to comment
bill937ca
I think there are two sets of bogies. The rubber tire bogies and the plastic railway bogies. Hopefully they are interchangeable. But it is four separate items in the Truck Collection. The plastic bogies are loads on the top two links and rubber bogies are part of the trailer collection items on the bottom two links. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10490831 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10490838 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10490825 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10490827 Edited February 7, 2018 by bill937ca 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Yap... from my limited Japanese understanding from the Tomytec video, it seems that the rubber tyre bogies that come with the trailer are for the trailer itself, together with the Tomytec train, so that the trailer can be attached to the train and can be pulled along by the tractor truck... The plastic bogies that are meant as loads for the truck sets are probably for the Tomytec train itself, and can also be attached to the Tomytec train so that the train can be placed into tracks, which means there is a possibility of motorizing the train set. i'm not sure of the train itself and if it is base on an actual train set, but it seems you need two of them to actually make a full train since they are cabin cars... great set to be modeling transportation of train bodies via road, which is another oh so common thing in Japan! and a nice way to park those road maintenance vehicles as escort vehicles, along with tons of railfan photographers on the road! 1 Link to comment
cteno4
The transport trucks and tired wheel sets were parts of the truck collections in the past and some of the most expensive as individual boxes on ebay and poppendetta, so nice to see they are being done individual units now to be kept in sporadic stock. jeff 1 Link to comment

The train appears to be a Keio 3000 series. I don't recognise the colour scheme, though. Now and then I see a model that makes me think I should have gone with N scale. This is one of them. I love the look of these "Shonan" cab EMUs. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment

They seem to be based on the Jomo Railway 700 series, wich indeed are former Keio 3000 series trainsets (14 veichles, 7 X 2-car formations). Second formation for the "B" set. Third formation for the "A" set. Also, there are no Keio 3000 series trains for 1:87 scale, but if you like these "Shonan-type" EMUs you can always get the one that started them all: The 80 series Avaible as a pre-painted kit: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10279280 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10279281 2 Link to comment

Back in September Tomix said it was coming in spring 2018, no mention of it since. Densha
The links in the last post also show them, but here's all new Tomix and Tomytec announcements specifically: http://www.jp-ngauge.info/ngi/2018/03/tomix-bfa8.html http://www.jp-ngauge.info/ngi/2018/03/tomytec-a825.html Particularly the Hiroden 1900 type and the Sanko Line Uzui Station Building by Tomytec are of interest to me. The Uzui station building also looks to be part of a new 'Station Collection', so I think it's fair to expect more Tomytec station buildings to come out under this brand in the future. Das Steinkopf
I would have liked to have got the 213-5000 Series but sadly it is modelled in pre 2010 condition, after then they were modified for use on the Iida-sen with the inclusion of a toilet and the replacement of the PS24 pantographs with a single armed type, I wanted to use it as a static model sitting in a yard as I already have the MicroAce version for service.
