Socimi
A live steam railway in a garden that's almost as big as the house itself, and a 1:1 scale railway line (a people mover, but fair enough) on the other side of the fence. Link to comment
Cat
Hmm, if you were modelling in HO, you could do a working garden railway in Z! Link to comment
cteno4
That would be 1/3 scale. Enoshina actually made a little ride on set in t scale with O scale people for an O scale ride on scene, eff Link to comment

Here in the US, most states allow tracked vehicles if they have rubberised treads that won't chew up the road. A Kettenkrad would also be very handy for doing creative end runs around Boston traffic jams... I don't know what's more amazing - that he has a Kettenrad in Japan or that he's kept it running. We saw one running at the rally in Corowa a few years back. It's owner let us have a good look at its mechanicals. Like all German semi-tracks, they're extraordinarily complicated for what they are. Cheers, Mark. 1 Link to comment

railsquid
Here's a potential modelling project: a glowing illuminated truck bearing Official Words of Encouragement for the beholder to return home as soon as possible as the N501Y [*] variant is on the prowl. For added realism mount it on a Tomytec motorised bus chassis and have it run around your station (this was one of a pair circling Shibuya Station earlier). [*] Aka the "British" variant 3 Link to comment
cteno4
Yeah I’ve been thinking of how to do some ad trucks. This one would be topical and interesting historical later. jeff Link to comment

Das Steinkopf
Well the Japanese certainly have a knack for recycling things, as I was doing some study for my layout loosely based on Hozumi and Nishi Gifu I came across a house that has some pretty interesting storage space with a 20' container plonked in the yard and a WaMu 8000 up against the house. https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4013509,136.7128719,3a,90y,234.74h,83.09t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1slZ4qk-UEwkPLnWn62VVfxA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 4 Link to comment
