Lina_Blue
Welcome to the next episode of Console City! After catenary has been installed on the high speed line, the connection of the depot can begin! An all new switch point configuration to allow a double main line to pass, and have enough space to allow for a headshunt / escape track for the depot. And there was enough space for a small stop to be added. And a final station behind the operator Current status: 7 1 Link to comment

cteno4
Wow the connector arms really work well! We did 3 Kato in a row with connectors and it worked pretty well. jeff 1 Link to comment

Heh, reminds me of those build a bridge simulation games 😄 It really does hold up well though with a train going over it. I expected it to be way more wibblywobbly. Thanks for sharing a video. 1 Link to comment
Yavaris Forge
It would be a fun experiment to test the limits of these bridges but sadly I don't have any to test with. The only problem is that such a span kind of isn't prototypical anymore😄 I don't know how heavy the M250 is but do you think it would work with some of the old Tomix EMUs as well? I think they are quite heavy for their size. Link to comment

I think they are quite heavy for their size. I tested my construction with a book case, before implementing it in my layout: It is quite sturdy. 8 2 Link to comment

Lina_Blue
The current Console City is nearing 99% completion (No layout is ever finishid). I put some trains on my little depot (I just need a bigger booster ^^;; ) and filled all the stations. It is gonna be fun. But please, have a look at these photographs: The Depot and the next station nearby: Nerima Sta. Piishi Enshin Sta. situated in Eniishi prefecture ^^;; In this sharp corner, over in another room, we find a currently nameless station (like the little stop next to the depot). And last but not least: Ekusu Bokusen, a new tower is being constructed here. Sheduled for November 10th, but I heard there are some delays. 10 1 Link to comment

gavino200
That's really cool Waisneed. I love the platform announcements. Did you just add them to the video or do you have live platform announcements? How do you do it. I'm jealous. 1 Link to comment

cteno4
It’s incredible now what you can do with a bit of old equipment or hacking a few $2 ebay toys to liven things up! jeff Link to comment
Lina_Blue
Today, and maybe tomorrow will be the last operating days of this falls Console City iteration. As it's size is not really operable without friends. And the current situation is not getting better. So I did some last photographs for you all to enjoy. Any wishes what kind of scenes I could set for you? I'm open for suggestions. (Trains have been packed away already). After the last operating day with the time lapse video I shared with you here I removed all trains and did some cleaning. Zero Ampére draw ^^ But then I thought: How many commuter trains can fit in my depot without overflowing? All those E233s lining up: And some E231 / E531s But wait! I also have some stations! Let's fill those too! I think.. that's about 25 trains on my layout at the moment, not counting the 5 locos. Edited December 9, 2020 by Waisneed 9 Link to comment
Lina_Blue
Long time no see, I know. I teased a little in the what did you do on your layout today thread. Had some changes this year, And I will move domicile in January. But Console City 2021 has happened! With help of my friends, we made the biggest console city yet. Over 7 days of group operations made this a fun event for all of us. Please, have a look at these impressions: But now everything will be packed away for the move.
