What did you do on your layout today? (N scale)

Tested the back loop pair today. A little wiring fine tuning (goodness knows how I got one section mixed up) But at the end had 2x four carriage commuter trains going round at moderate speed. (slow speed is a little jolty - is that a word :) )

Finished laying the cork for my track - now just need to get some primer and some ballast coloured acrylics so I can prime the base board for track laying

Well not exactly on my layout, but I had to give all these new containers a drive....

It turned out I have not enough KoKi. And, maybe I should go for a Hokkaido background photo?

The DF200 in turn did run like a charm. Love it. :)

Looks great Medusa, where did you get that small crossing piece under the first Koki?  Love the variation in the container loads too!

When it comes to diesel locos, I don't have much of them. Well, when I was a child I didn't like their smell (and at those days we were far far away from today's "Eco" locos) - guess that left a trace... thus I have to admit an obsession about diesels. I feel the strong urge to paint their exhaust funnels black.

Poor DF200-53 today had to face this fate, too. :)  It took me a number of Y-tube videos to understand where the exhausts of the two diesel engines actually are located exactly. In the old days this was easy (just where the black smoke came out) but the modern DF200 is quite clean. Needed some shot where the refraction of the hot gas gave me a hint...

Finally got around to fitting the lights to the mini platform on the small village station.

Those small leds do nt half throw out some light.I remembered now why I d been putting it off for so long but a couple of hrs and lots of cursing I managed to finish it.

Looks amazing IST, what did you use for the dirt lot?  I'm really enjoying watching your modules come together!

Yet more great progress paul, those small leds may be a pain, but they do look great!

Hi khia66, thanks mate

I think the platforms weigh as much as the baseboard with all the hot glue on the underside of them!

Thanks!

It is simply sand, so nothing special material. It would be good to see all of our moduls together, but before that we have to finish some other moduls also.

Another few hours of track testing and train running, So I can now have 4 running at the same time. If Mrs Clam allows, I might make it to 6 tomorrow

Although I did spot something odd with one of my older YJA purchases.

Although it was in a box for a Tomix 92932, Limited Edition City Liner Suburban Train, the box actually contained a Tomix 92222 Joban Line Suburban Train,

Looks very similar, but not quite. Enought to irritate me. Certainley noticable when you have the 2 running side by side.

So now on the hunt for one or the other. and preferable, the correct case too :D

Tram table and baseboard almost done. The base is made up of 2x1" layers of polystyrene,5 mm foamcard and 5mm high density foam underlay.I ll simply lay the track out,cut the foam around it,remove the track and cut foam and drop the track in and hopefully it will then leave the base at the same height as the track, somehow I get the feeling it wo nt be that straightforward!

Would someone be so kind and could suggest me a set of construction workers for my T-trak modul presented above? I would prefer Japanese figures, but I have no luck with search engines until now. Maybe you have some ideas or tips...
