Morcs
Wiring done, track secured and starting to apply first layer of scenery. I ran out of Kato ballast though and it's sold out from banzai. But inconvenient, knew I should've bought more bags! Got a few more buildings coming, and about 50 trees! 9 Link to comment

Pauljag900
As this layout was nt truly japanese(tho the trains are) and subsequently feeling a bit of a fraud 😂😂 I have nt posted progress as I would normally. This is how it looks today. i ve just connected the.ights up and realise I need to fit some black card to the inside of the buildings roof. Last area to do will be the freight yard, managed to pick up some Kato yard buildings Via eBay and I ve ordered some platforms and freight. All that remains really is to add small details now, figures, buses, cars etc. i have ordered a couple of hot air balloons to fly over the layout👍😂 5 Link to comment

Martijn Meerts
Didn't do much on the layout as such, but I did finally get the hobby room to the point where it can be used as a hobby room again. Managed to run some trains for the first time in many months. Still some things to sort / store / throw away before it's completely done, but I can at least now go get the required wood for some additional sections of the layout, which also means finally starting on the main station and creating a temporary loop so I can start running some trains a bit more regularly. To celebrate, I ended up buying a Fleischmann E10 loco and the Minitrix 1962 Rheingold set 😉 5 Link to comment

James-SNMB
The other day I set up the new unitram loop and gave it a run with the pair of Portrams I have. After a few minutes, I got silly, and decided to see what else I could put on there. To my amazement, I got a Kato ES44AC and Maxi I unit to run around the R180 curves! Ok, well the front and rear axle of the locomotive would pop off at every curve and the coupler would yank off the first truck of the intermodal unit around each curve, but it would re-rail itself on the straights and keep right on going, no problem. and for what it's worth, without the loco, the Maxi I would sail around the curves by itself with no issue. Not that I plan to run it like this... Ok, then things got ridiculous. Here's a TGV duplex really challenging the "there's a prototype for everything" mantra: It too made it around the R180 curves for reasons I don't understand. I don't think there was any derailing/re-railing action, but I could here some plastic clicking as it wound around the bends, so it wasn't perfect by any means. Still, I didn't expect this to work at all... Anyways, I've put everything back to normal and told the citizens to pretend this never happened. 3 1 Link to comment
Tonytramman
wont get away with it when the traction poles are up though! as I found when trying to use the (useless) tomix cleaner wagon, that's £70 i cant get back lol Link to comment

If you can work on the radii, it seems quite prototypical for the US: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_running#/media/File:Train_on_S_Mason_St_at_W_Laurel_St,_Ft_Collins.jpg 2 Link to comment
