bc6
This weeks haul is a bit smaller but a bit more important as it helps me complete my 15 car Joban set I started many years ago. 7 Link to comment
ED75-775
Latest Hobbysearch haul arrived today: One pack of Kato coupler pockets and two packs of 0.3mm wire for my Iori Koubou kits, plus Kobe tram 1156 which had just had my last ‘spare’ powered chassis installed. It’s such a nice model, I couldn’t not do it! Apart from Hiroshima 1153 still waiting to materialise, I have six more IK coach kits on order, and that means in due course I’ll need a locomotive to pull them with! Rail Gallery Rokko still has the World Kogei 160-class locomotive in stock so that’s one option under direct consideration... Alastair 6 Link to comment

Barney_Leadhead
Greetings, I've not been active in N for quite a while and apart from a few odd bits all I had left was a Fleischmann DR set that I really only bought for the DCC Multimaus controller. I've been enjoying looking at Japanese models and layouts on YT and decided to sort myself a loop with a siding or two to build and run inside during the Winter months. My bargain purchase arrived from Japan today and whilst I know it is pretty much as basic as you can get, I have good memories of the Kato chassis from my 009 days so I'm quite excited to have it running and if I can still get on with N then I look forward the prospect of adding to collection. ED75-775
It's payday today, and to build my Zenmarket loyalty level back up I've joined the Koki fanatics with the purchase of a Tomix Koki 106 and two sets of matching containers, the 19D-42000 and 20G sets. Plus there's a matching Tomix Koki 107 on bid too, once landed here in New Zealand and loaded they should give me a reason to get out the 'still-haven't-run-it-yet' Nagoya Rinkai ND55 diesel and run it with something very appropriate. At the same time, I've got another package in preparation down at Rokkomichi, building up to join a H0-scale locomotive that was kindly purchased on my behalf by @Wolf. Long story short, it'll contain a further three Tomix Koki's and four Tomix container sets (19B, 19D 'Eco-rail', 20D and 30D), a Tomytec TM-TR01 powered chassis, and one each Kato 20-429 truss bridge and 20-026 rerailer straight. Tokonami-san has said he'll get a shipping quote together for me tomorrow, since he was busy today sorting out more new arrivals. This is going to be my first package from RG-Rokko, and I'm really looking forward to it - oh, and of course any more that I order after that! Alastair 2 Link to comment

Kamome
Ordered some Assyparts interiors for the new Kato 211 cab ends to hopefully update my 20 year old 10-441 set. As Kato have a tendency to reuse old moulds, thought it would be a possible option. After seeing the samples at the diorama show it became more doubtful and now having said parts in my possession, the updates are, unfortunately for me, too vast to use these parts without additional customisation and costs. The updates are actually quite impressive on the new model but the original was relatively primitive by comparison. Edited November 2, 2023 by Kamome Link to comment
Mister Gee
I recently returned from our first trip to Tokyo and my wife graciously entertained my romps through a bunch of train shops. All of the trains were bought from the used section and the prices were incredible! I bought the engineer in this set separately- cost me about $30 US. I bought a bunch of buses and small stuff as well. This Shinkansen 100 set was $70! Edited November 4, 2023 by Mister Gee 6 Link to comment

mrsteveseag
I got my hands on one of the models I’ve been hoping for a while… Kato 10-1889/1890! Got myself the 10 car set. Been waiting for this for a bit. 7 Link to comment
Zeether
I finally put in an order for the 500 series Nozomi basic set SD thanks to having a steady paycheck. 1 Link to comment
SL58654号
I should be saving up for the turntable for my planned layout (it'll cost an arm and a leg), but since I was able to order it for such an enviably low price, I went for this beautiful EF30 (3073) that I had my eye on in the KATO 2023 catalog. I like it since it's stainless steel, came with headmarks and has green numberplates. They worked on the Kokutetsu (JNR) and later of course JR Kyushu before retirement, so that incentivized me to grow my EL fleet with this one. The one other stainless steel body Electric loco I'd like is an EF10. 6 Link to comment

railsquid
It's the only stainless steel EL I own: Tomix EF81-300 (EF81-301) by Rail Squid, on Flickr (Don't ask me why I own it, it was probably dirt cheap but missing a part which will only be released shortly before the heat death of the universe). 6 Link to comment
Zeether
Got the Tomix set in today and gave her a run. Not sure where I can put it now...precious little space for trains at the moment Link to comment

Steve
Got finally my EF55. Changing the coupler was a bit tricky. My Modell had problems with the front Boggie derailing all the time, which was fast fixed - both wheel sets had miss-fitted wheels, which i cound fix my myself - now she is running. Anyone with similary issues? Edited November 14, 2023 by Steve Link to comment
Rod.H
Some more containers, a koki and the Tomix cad design tool. Yeah, I probably shouldn't've got the last as it's driving me nuts trying to get it going. Link to comment
mrsteveseag
Been ramping up my collection when it comes to the more “rarer” trains. Got a pre-owned Twilight Express Mizukaze and E655 Nagomi. I wanted to get my hands on these for a while at a DECENT price. Buyee’s coupons make it easier to buy things. I got the Twilight Express Basic set for $160 and E655 for $95. Pretty crazy. ED75-775
Latest arrival in the parcels department, all the way from our favourite retailer! First time getting one of these... the excitement is building, aargh! Find the craft knife, open it up... Squeeee! More new trains to play with! And as always, securely packed and individually bubble-wrapped so there's no chance of damage along the way. OK, we need to get this all out and unwrapped... And here's the full contents of the box! The big guy was hiding down the bottom, I'll discuss that on the Worldwide Models thread shortly. Containers, KoKi's, a TM-TR01 power chassis for my model of Hiroden 651, plus the rerailing straights and truss bridge number two... complete this time, and very nice! I'll have to buy some more I think. Got a few more KoKi's waiting in Osaka but they'll stay there for now, Zenmarket has bumped their free storage up to 60 days now and I'm still on the fence about getting more stuff to come with it and rebuild my loyalty status. Plus there's stuff to preorder from RG-Rokko and maybe Hobbysearch... and I need to organise some H0 decoders... aaaargh, come on, can't have it all! Alastair 7 Link to comment
SL58654号
While it hasn't arrived in the mail yet, but has been shipped out, I ordered and now eagerly await this somewhat rare book - Vapeur au Japon - Steam in Colour Japan Dampflok in Farbe. It appears to have shots of steam in active JNR days that I couldn't refuse. Link to comment

ED75-775
Latest arrival at the ED Depot as of yesterday, Hiroshima 1153. I had almost forgotten about this one until I got the email notification it was coming: This one came from Hobbysearch, not sure how many more orders I’ll make with them as Rail Gallery Rokko has started to tempt me with their better prices. I may still order the Noch/Kato ‘Allegra’ EMU set in ABB advertising livery from HS though. Alastair 7 Link to comment
Zeether
First Tetsudo Collection purchase and I'm quite pleased. Put the stickers on one of them, I doubt I got some of the markings right but considering how painful it is to cut them out...eh, it's my world haha. Cannot wait to motorize them, I think the right one is gonna have to get the motor treatment first because the left is only half a train and I didn't realize it until I saw the different color stripe on the package. 6 Link to comment
