chadbag
I sold it a year ago IIRC but I had ended up with 2 Shikishima from KATO when I first bought it due to a mistake in planning ordering. When I went to sell it again after about a year I had it up for a long time. Finally someone bought it. Was not way over priced. Amazing how things change. Glad you got it! It is really nice. Just need to find those Tomix couplers for those KiHa 54s. Been wondering if the JC6357 would work in place of the JC6352, they look identical. Edited July 6, 2022 by disturbman 1 Link to comment

ED75-775
OK, so my Tomix Guide and brake van book arrived on Monday - both good reads and some great weathering tips or general ‘consists you can model’ images - how about a train of Yo 8000, Yo 6000 and Yo 5000 ‘vans behind an EF65? Then today, DHL surprises me, I expected this to arrive tomorrow! JR West Hikari Rail Star, a few memories there of riding these between Hakata and Hiroshima in 2019, and two ED75s because I like boxy red electrics and why not? For those so inclined, here’s a closeup of one of my beloved ED75s: I feel like Kato knocked it out of the park with this one! Not that I have seen any ED75-0s to compare against IRL though, the last one got scrapped just after my visit in 2019. Currently there is still one more item in transit, a spare ED75-0 bodyshell which shall be mated with a spare ED75-1000 chassis to create a complete late-JNR ED75-1000. Last I checked it was in Singapore... and once it arrives and everything’s assembled, I shall have five ED75s to play with. Yay! Wolf
So, last package for the month rolled in, tons of Buyee aka Yahoo Auctions wins. Somehow new to this I thought it to be a pretty great idea to just win a ton of single cheapo auctions (single cars noteably) and didnt realise postage will kill me. (Protip: It did) Anyway, won a ton of single cars, many car packages, tomytec buildings, a ton of older'ish greenmax stuff, a paperkit what aparently should be the old sega building in Akiba i guess and as it turns out, even 2 resin printed cars lol. Mad kudos to the guys at buyee actually disassembling part of the items to fold them down to save space. 12 Link to comment
disturbman
Got a Tomix GV-E400. I had been waiting for a model since the trains were revealed. The models are nice, but I’m surprised one need to remove the light units to drill and fit the satellite radios as well as fit the destination stickers. shiniji
my last Ebay wins 🙂 The two ED76 come from HS ^^ the rest is from Ebay, I bought the new models like the C62, E231 and the Tomytec Combat items at a reasonable price from DM-Toys over Ebay Auctions 6 Link to comment
JR East
Delivered today, a small RG-Rokko pack First the special edition of the Keisei AE Skyliner Masaharu asked me if this was possible to unbox the TN coupler and place them in the add parts to save on delivery ... nicely done. And then the KiHa 185 'Around the Kyushu' Despite of all protection placed by RG-Rokko, it has suffered a bit during the transport, nothing severe that can be fixed by clicking it again properly And, as a gift, another pen (40th anniversary) to be added to my RG-Rokko pen collection I'll post more picture of better quality (esp. respecting more the colors ...) soon JM. 14 Link to comment
ED75-775
Round one of today’s Hobbysearch delivery - head on over here to see the other half - this Kato 3075-2A locomotive body for the new ED75-0. With this now on hand, I had everything needed to (potentially) assemble an ED75-1000. Here all the bits are, including the spare lighting board I didn’t know I didn’t need: So, was I successful? Well, actually, yes. All the bits fit comfortably together, even the number boards which was the biggest question. I’ll let the finished product speak for itself. I settled for Hitachi-built ED75 1011 as it was the only one I had any photos of in my Tohoku electric locomotive guide out of any of the four choices. Such a book is invaluable when you want to make sure fiddly little bits like the pantographs are installed the right way around (they have insulators that are supposed to face inwards). So, that takes my total to four working ED75s - one 3009-1, one 3075-1 and two 3075-2. I have one more, a 3009-5, but it’s undergoing a protracted chassis replacement right now. I’m in no rush to get it finished and running yet but it’s at least disassembled for when I can motivate myself to sort it out. Alastair 8 Link to comment

Sr.Horn
Two parcels from Amazon Japan arrived this week. A pair of Poppondetta cases (thanks @disturbmanfor the reccommendation!) as fits quite well on my 10-213 Kato empty bookcase. The jewel: The 50 N-gauge trackplan, a book who will provide me some ideas and I hope, lote of fun. 6 Link to comment
katoftw
Is that foam deep enough? Did it come with some backing sheets also? Looks like the edges are higher than the foam height. Will move around if stored upright. Link to comment

disturbman
You have to buy the back sheets separately. Link to comment

Yavianice
Funny that the Popondetta Cases do not come with back foams. All other brands have the back foams (KATO, TOMIX, Micro Ace, CASCO). I guess that's why Popondetta sells the back foams separately. I bought a couple to protect some trains from both sides. Link to comment
disturbman
Popondetta doesn't sell cases, just urethanes. @Sr.Hornput it inside an empty Kato case. Both Popo and Casco sell mats. 1 Link to comment

Arctic
Parcels from RG-Rokko and buyee delivered recently... I decided to start collecting a private railway From RG-Rokko got Hanshin 5500, Hanshin 9000 'Taisetsu ga gyutto' wrapping, Hanshin book and there were a few other bits and pieces as well. From YJA I found a Hanshin 1000 series with Namba Line 10th anniversary wrapping - I believe it was only sold via the Hanshin Koshien station shop originally Each of the carriages has different wrapping for different places - this one is Nara Was advertised as 'no obvious dirt or damages' on YJA and seems to be in pretty good condition and runs smooth without too much noise. I probably should have got the buyee protective packaging as quite a lot of the wheel axles got detached in transit. 10 Link to comment
