I was kind of the same way when I first this train and thought that it was a bit too over-the-top but the more and more I looked at it and the more information that was released about it made me like it more. It looks great fully lit up too even if it was a bit finicky with the lighting in some of the cars for me. 1 Link to comment
Sheffie
Delivered: the parts for one rural platform, courtesy of Kiha66. I’m really enjoying the idea of sending bits and pieces by mail. Sort of like having pen pals, but with train stuff. I shall definitely start listing spare parts for trade in about six weeks when I’m allowed to 2 Link to comment

Sheffie
Ordered: Kato Koki 107 (2 car set) 2 x Tomix Koki 200 Tomix Koki 250000 (minty green! who can resist that?) Enough 12 ft and 20ft containers to very nearly fill those wagons (roughly 40% JR, the rest private owner) Edited March 11, 2019 by Sheffie 2 Link to comment
Welshbloke
Somewhere in the post are: Two B Train Shorty Kintetsu 15200s (red/beige and blue/white) and motors for same. Tomix OHaNe 25 underframe (easiest way to add the upper berth ladders and body mounted couplers to an older model). Casco 10 slot case B in orange. The B Train Shorties will now be spread over three cases. Three 18650 batteries for my rechargable controller project. Also more electronic components for PWM mini controller builds. Now casting around for a small and unusual case to build one into, although I need the components to test and measure first. If I use a tin I'll remember to line it with insulating tape! From my conversation with my local suppliers (I’m from Hong Kong), I was given to understand that only a small amount of these were produced. the only thing that I hope is Microace sees how well these are selling and produce a second batch of them Link to comment

GDorsett
@serotta1972 I notice a WM Conslidation in the background of your last couple posts. I need a six axle tender to swap with my NMRA four axle as I am trying to convert mine into #734. What brand is your model and do you know if WM six axle tenders exist alone, or if I need to buy a whole locomotive? I apologize for going off-topic. Link to comment
katoftw
As per Rokko thread. Orders KAto 10 car Koki 106+107 and Koki 2 car 50000 sets. Just pulled out the box of containers I have, and realized I only have enough for 9 cars. Needs another 3 cars worth of containers. I get to go container shopping again. I haven't shopped for containers in back 4 years or so. 3 Link to comment

Hey Bill, your 783 Advan looked so good to me, I had to get it, and very attractive it is. How’s yours running? Mine is all noisy, growling and fitful/irregular. Also the panto is flimsy plastic. Made in China. Normally Modemo is better than this, isn’t it? 2 Link to comment

Welshbloke
I should get back on the KoKis. Bought a random JNR KoKi 10000 while my other ten are JRF 104/6/7s and a lone KoKi 50000 at the end. Intention was to assemble a JNR era container train as a contrast to the post-2000 set, but it stalled at one vehicle due to the difficulty of obtaining enough different running numbers.
