Came across this on Hitachi Rail Europe's website. Added in the last few months?  Just a concept for now. Note the 500 serieslike paint scheme.  Aiming for the HS2 market?

The Class 800 and 801 are not meant to be used on high speed lines after all, but for replacement of HST125 stock on conventional intercity routes.

Likely, looks like China's CSR (among others) is going to bid once the opportunity arises.  Hitachi of course has the advantage of a plant in the UK, to counter the lowball bid the Chinese are 100% certain to offer.
