Coromant
Thanks! Kiha66: I am thinking a lot this plan and the difficult point was the variability, and one time when i walked on the streetview at yokosuka i saw a tunnel and the flash of genius is coming :) Cteno4: Yes i think too :) By the way when Kawasaki is working electrical and will be done the two connection modules it will be needs 13pcs T-trak to the opposite side :) Br, Coromant Link to comment
Coromant
Hi All! Not so much, just a little additional to the T-traks. I made transport boxes. The vertical walls from 9mm plywood the horizontals from 12mm plywood, the sidecover from 6mm plywood. Glued and screwed, one of the side cover fix the other removable: Best regards, Coromant 5 1 Link to comment
cteno4
Excellent coromant! Nice work, like the stain, nice touch to finish it off. Exactly they type of carrier I have planned for my Ttrak modules, just larger, slide in from one end, and adjustable slides to pack in as many modules as possible. Just finished the design on similar large crates for our new club layout as well, hope to start construction this week, but first have to make a mini panel Saw to square up a lot of 16-26" 3/16" ply panels that will be needed. That's the one thing you can't do on the table saw! jeff Link to comment
IST
Cool! May I ask the sizes of the boxes? Just to measure if it fits easily into my car for example. :-) Link to comment
Coromant
Hi IST! The inside is 330mm length and the height is 195mm/shelve. The 310mm+ the 2 unijoiner and + a few mm to the easy useing. br. C Link to comment

Coromant
Hi All! At last year oktober i decided, i build a new Kawasaki station. The things what i decided about this options: -The base was an experimental module building -Out of the standards, afterwards module frame patching, -Complicated wireing, and contacts bettween the modules (The one year building period i can’t catch the electronical stand status). -The trackbed continuosly rebuild/fixing when i saw a missing thing from the station. -And many… So at last october i decided i scrap the module and building a new version with standards. This is New Shin-Kawasaki (NSK ) :) This build with double length T-trak frame wit Unitrack! I use some things what save from the previous module. It’s almost wireless and one week ago was a test run with the T-traks and additional unitrack oval. It’s absolutely ok. 50% less modules than before and the finish length is 12 T-trtak then the previous need 13. At now the 1st and 6th end module haven't build yet, because i need to discuss with Kvp about the electronicals. And the photos: They have a box as the T-Traks, but not finished yet: Overal: The 2nd module: Station entrance: To the signal light i made supporter base and holes to i can change later to operating light signal: The 3rd module: the platform start: The 4th module: the Station area: The station platform is removable and it can fix with two screw: The 5th module: the platform other side: The lights are popondetta 50mm heights street lights, i will be use same with the station building area So that's it. I have many prepared things to application and need things on way from HS. The ballast will be the last when everything in it's position. I changed my mind and I'll be use grey track ballast. I thing it's better than the rust or brown. Best regards, Coromant 10 1 Link to comment

IST
We got an invitation from Coromant to have a clubday (or clubhours) at him, so kvp and myself grabbed the opportunity and visited him on Sunday. He has already prepared a layout including his 4 modules long T-trak modules and his station modules also. We talked about the wiring of the station, the possible exhibition in April and run some trains. I brought my new Densha De Go Plug & Play with me, so they could try it. Although my time was very limited, the meeting was fun and we should make it more frequently. Pictures: 8 2 Link to comment
serotta1972
How fun! How long are those modules, triple or quads? Exceptional modules. Hope you all had knee pads and/or are limber, I would have had a difficult time playing on the floor. Haha. 2 Link to comment

We sit on the floor the front of the moduls :) Link to comment

I can't wait for the exhibition or a bigger clubday where we all can connect our T-trak modules. If I count well then Coromant has 4 almost finished single modules (those with the road on the pictures) and his station that is 4 triple modules, kvp has 4 single, 1 double, 1 quad and some under construction and I have 7 single and 4 corner modules, plus 2 single are under construction. IST
I would like to let you know there will be a model train exhibition in Budapest in 27-29, April (will be here). Our little club will attend on this event with kvp's, Coromant's and my T-trak moduls, so we will assemble an approximatle 6 meter * 0,7 meter layout for Japanese trains. There will be an inner circle, while the outer circle will work as a point-to-point operation if kvp can make the necessary electronics until that time. If not, than the outer track will be a circle also. You have already seen most of our moduls here in the forum, but we have never ever played on all of it at once, so we will have a new record for Hungarian T-trak length. :-))) We advertised this event as a "bring your Japanese train and run it" railfanning on some Hungarian forums, so with some limitation (and much more care) anybody can play a little with his/her rolling stock on the layout. Let's see if it will be successfull or not! :-) If someone will be in Budapest at that time and want to join, please let us know or simply just come! 3 Link to comment
kvp
6 hours ago, IST said: as a point-to-point operation if kvp can make the necessary electronics until that time As a worst case option, we could use two standard Kato controllers and switch the polarity with the direction levers. (that would need 3 controllers, one for the inner loop, one for the outer and one for the T module and the terminus) ps: The best case includes a full japanese style relay based signalling panel with route logic. cteno4
That’s great IST! Doing some visitor participation will generate great interest and manybe turn a few of those folks with a Japanese train into a full fledged enthusiast! Most folks with their own trains should do fine running them. Even with the kids running trams onnthe unitrak loop we rarely have any issues with them. do you guys have any sort of club badges? If so maybe print up some guest ones that you can give to the ones that bring a train, going home with a souvenir might be really fun for them. have fun! cheers jeff Edited April 16, 2018 by cteno4 Link to comment
