velotrain
Or this retro-futuristic "Monorail" ? http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/matsam/17556459/4045835/4045835_original.jpg That looks like the McKeen motor car, which I'm quite fond of. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McKeen_Motor_Car_Company I see that some made it to Australia. medusa
Hm... spontaneous thoughts: - Fell: reminds me to an Orc loco from W40k. - GT3 never can be ugly since it's a turbine. Even if covered in chocolate. - McKeen certainly is from the 1960ies series "Raumpatrouille Orion"... 1 Link to comment
velotrain
Ugliest DE10 ever. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1718/24716710330_9237932caf.jpg OK - this is a South Australia version, and clearly mislabeled ;-) Link to comment
marknewton
DE10 started out life as a petrol-electric loco, built by Davenport in 1928. A better view is here: http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww76/howlerbus/P6060287.jpg~original Cheers, Mark. 2 Link to comment

Socimi
Another entry, this time a tram. http://www.vlaky.net/upload/galeria/000353/003744.jpg This is an Ukrainian-built Лт-10 (LT-10) series tram, made between 1994 and 1998 in 16 units. velotrain
I generally like Plymouths, but that could be because up to now I've only been familiar with those manufactured in Ohio. This is "An example of locomotive manufactured by Primus (Plymouth), Nagata Goryngi." It somehow looks like it belongs in India - or nearby, with that gaudy paint job. http://g-gauge.world.coocan.jp/PROTOTYPE/osada/osada.html 1 Link to comment
velotrain
Thanks, Romania! You don't care for the headlight housing? It seems rather innocuous otherwise. 2 Link to comment
railsquid
Yup, headlights are a bit offputting but overall it looks more like a proper locomotive than some of the "designed by a designer" ones which have appeared in the last few years. 1 Link to comment
ToniBabelony
Looks more like an overhaul from an old loco (Swedish based design). Not something 'new' like that company proclaims. 1 Link to comment
Suica
I don't know, it just looks wrong. Just check more pictures on google. The shape of those side windows. The dented metal skin even on new locos. Link to comment

Socimi
Hello, You mean they got it wrong 16 times??? Yes. They basically did a single body type and16 different colour variations. Wich doesn't help either. Link to comment
Suica
I think we haven't had the ICE's grandfather, DB BR 403 "Donald Duck", yet. I know there are many people who absolutely hate its looks. I for one love it. After being left to rot for 20 years one unit is currently being restored to serviceable condition. Do you mean how the light is reflecting unevenly off the side of it? That is curious. Yup, that. 2 Link to comment

They seems to be rebuilt CFR EA locomotives from 1965 with new fronts and control systems. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFR_Class_EA https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softronic 1 Link to comment

I kind of like those, I remember seeing one in a Lima catalogue I had in the 1980s. The N gauge Lima version pops up on Yahoo Japan every now and again and goes for silly prices, so it seems popular here. Link to comment
Socimi
I agree on the Softronic Phoenix. The transmontana isn't better either. Especially in the green paint. https://www.softronic.ro/engb-locomotive-transmontana.html Again, the headlight arrangment destroys the whole design. Right is the photoshopped version. Headlights taken from a danish DSB EA series. Then Back to japan. This is JR Kyushu's 815 series. Edited April 18, 2017 by Socimi Link to comment

Densha
Not sure if this certifies as a train, but it is certainly a rail vehicle. It's an Ikarus 60 bus body mounted on railway trucks, with a MiG-15 jet fighter engine fitted to serve as snowblower. Obviously a Soviet invention. https://twitter.com/sovietsoreyuke/status/856810164967440384 4 Link to comment
