Tokyo Metro Shuttle Lines

In addition to its 9 line network Tokyo Metro also operates two shuttle lines. Both shuttles are on workshop and yard access lines.  As of 1983 the Marunouchi shuttle was operated with Ginza line stock repainted Marunouchi red and equipped with side extensions.

 

Chiyoda Line Ayase Branch (began service 1979.12.20 after community pressure)

 

Length 2.1 Km

Stations 2

Trains - 3 car 5000 series

 

 

 

Marunouchi Line Hōnan-chō Branch (opened 1962.03.23)

 

 

Length 3.2 Km

Stations 4

Trains - 3 car 02 series

 

This video from 1996 shows one of the former Eidan train sets that were later sold to Buenos Aires Metro for use on Line B.
