I came across the very interesting article about the "Kotatsu Train" (Kotatsu Ressha), a special winter-only passenger train that instead of seats have kotatsu tables to keep you warm when you enjoy the scenery outside:

The train uses two modified KiHa 120's to operate between Kuji and Tanohata Stations on the Sanriku Railway line.
