I couldn't find a thread here, so I'm posting it. http://www.japantoday.com/category/kuchikomi/view/shinkansen-cleanup-crews-perform-7-minute-miracles-120-times-a-day I've watched the clean up crews at Shinjuku (Narita Express, Tobu Nikko) and at Ueno. (Super Hitachi) The Shinjuku clean up crew for the Narita Express seemed less formal and pretty much went to their spots before each door, whereas the Ueno clean up crew lined up before going in.
