cteno4 Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Ok Model Railroad Hobbist had a tip from someone to stop stuff from getting sucked up into your truck gears. just put a piece of scotch tape across the bottom of the truck! seems totally simple. also acts as a catch for any gunk that does get sucked in, getting stuck to the sticky. I cant think of anything off hand that would make this an issue for the truck, gears, etc. I know we had a couple of drive shafts snapped because of small bits of grit getting sucked into the trucks and jamming gears in there. im tempted to try it out here on a train and test how it works. cheers jeff Link to comment
