inobu Posted April 28, 2012 Share Posted April 28, 2012 If I'm not mistaken you have to send components back for firmware updates. I dont think decoder Pro has the capability to set up a preamble for a PIC. The PR3 allows you to load the sound card but i dont know about a plain ole decoder. Inobu Link to comment
CaptOblivious Posted April 28, 2012 Share Posted April 28, 2012 Very few decoders can be updated. Lenz decoders can, I believe, but require a special piece of hardware from Lenz. I don't know of any North American decoder that can be updated. Link to comment

Same goes for various ESU decoders, also using their decoder programmer. I don't know about any of the other decoders, as I have no experience with them... Link to comment
