Bad weather affecting trains in Kanto

Bad weather including high winds at typhoon levels from a southern front is impacting rail service in Kanto today.  JR is planning on reducing service on commuter lines to 70% of normal levels this evening.  A large number of limited expresses, including Narita Express and Azusa services are canceled today. Odakyu is not running romance car limited expresses.

 

*A large number of commuters are going home early today, according to a NHK report from Omiya Station.  The Keiyo Line, located along the bayside, is closed.
