"fake" point motors

Tomix turnouts all come with this little add-on which you can click to the side of a turnout, which simulates the device that in the prototype switches the turnout.

 

It's the bit on the bottom left of the turnout here, as well as some of the black bits in the bottom of the packages: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10072572a/20/1

 

Anyone know if those things can be ordered as spare parts, or if some other brand has them as detail parts?

I don't think so ... but it looks like something you could easily make yourself with a couple of sleepers from a track off-cut and a blob of ballast, no?

Ah nice.. Will have to order a few of them to test ;)

 

Edit: 30 dollar for shipping for an item that's 5 dollar .... And that's the cheapest option too. Shipping with UPS is 113 dollar :)

Nick, those look more like indicators how the turnouts are switched, or manual control levers, not directly what I'm looking for. However, they sure do look interesting for area's that should simulate manual control levers, like older servicing stations etc.
