Martijn Meerts
Tomix turnouts all come with this little add-on which you can click to the side of a turnout, which simulates the device that in the prototype switches the turnout. It's the bit on the bottom left of the turnout here, as well as some of the black bits in the bottom of the packages: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10072572a/20/1 Anyone know if those things can be ordered as spare parts, or if some other brand has them as detail parts? The_Ghan
I don't think so ... but it looks like something you could easily make yourself with a couple of sleepers from a track off-cut and a blob of ballast, no? Cheers The_Ghan Link to comment
keitaro
nope but i have a bunch i don't intend on using 5 - 10 of them. If you want i may be able to mail to you. Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
Ghan, the sleeper and ballast bit would be easy to replicate, the black detail on top that actually simulates the point motor is a bit more difficult :) http://www.ta-kky.com/lrm/images_entry/2010_0222.jpg .. 4th picture shows the whole thing. Nick_Burman
Point levers, by Tsugawa: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10080405 Cheers NB Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
Nick, those look more like indicators how the turnouts are switched, or manual control levers, not directly what I'm looking for. However, they sure do look interesting for area's that should simulate manual control levers, like older servicing stations etc. Link to comment
Samurai_Chris
I am still yet to work out how to use those damn switches... Link to comment
