keitaro
okay so i had to pull apart my kiha 91 as it got a bit of dirt in the cog, i pulled it apart and the bronze stips across the car to pick up power have this stained colour forming like they are degrading away. anything i should do or are these easy to just replace by finiding one from a tomix cheap tomix or kato power unit or chasis? http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10108719 (not sure if these have strips with them for pick up) or any power unit of similar size? At the moment it's not causing an issue but always good to know if it does become a problem with pickup later Link to comment
CaptOblivious
I doubt that the oxidation will present much of an issue, but if you are worried, a little fine-grit sandpaper will do it right. Link to comment
keitaro
thanks capt. I was woried sanding it will eventuall ruin the contact. conviniently the majority of it is where the motor contacts touch . I think glue of some sort got in the motor too some how I have no idea but it makes a squeaky noise some times. I think I may just buy the motor unit they now sell .... Link to comment
