Which Loco?

I have tried searching but could not find the answer.

Which Loco would be right between the Kawai snowplow pair?

As people are aware I am  concentrating on trams now but want to keep these and don't have a loco for them- or do I?

Have thought about a dummy unit  if I can find one.

Hi Keiman,

  I'm no expert on this, but depending on the location and era you are modeling you could use a DE10, DD13 or even a DD51.  The Kawai KI's are usually black with a yellow stripe modeled after the Russell snow plows so a "steamer" would not be unusual.  It all depends on the prefecture and what loco's  they have available to remove the snow - no standard as far as I can see.

Hi

  I have the Hokutosei DD51 and the 7 car sleeper consist.  Nice train - still in use today.  The C50 would also look good between the plows.

Cheers Rich, thinking about one of these;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200565957587&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

and having it standing on a dummy track. The Alternative is a Dummy C50 steam loco (DelPrado) which I already have.

Could be used but these are more probable :)

Note these locos are for the "cold" region of Japan, warm region locos have different windows and in the case of electric locos icicle cutters on the cab roof
