By coincidence I was in Tokyo that day, I passed through Akihabara in the morning on a 200 series shinkansen on my way to Takasaki.  That narrow building in the center left in the second video has a McDonalds with a dining area on the second floor, could be a good place to see the shinkansen trains passing by while having a coffee.
